We love this Italian with it's Greek specials and now we've had the roast dinner! BEST Sunday lunch today at The Prospect Italian Bistro. All the vegetables and trimmings were cooked perfectly and the portions really big. Friendly family service, atmosphere and a new brighter decor. We will be back!

Not sure if I went on a bad day but me and a bunch of my friends popped in for lunch one day and no more than an hour after eating we were all rushing to the toilet with varying degrees of diarrhoea. Was a real shame as we weren't able to go to the theatre as we had planned. I was even forced to call my boyfriend as it was such an emergency.

The Prospect Changed its name two years ago when the new landlord a professional chef took over to The Country Park Inn since then its gained e reputation for excellent food at a modest price. The evening menu and Sunday lunches are amongst the best pub food I'v tasted in the north east
