Oriental Bar The – GlasgowGreat food, great atmosphere and great service. Can't wait to go back to try different dishes from the menu
Cafe Andaluz – GlasgowAfter frequenting bonsai I was interested in finding out what else Edinburgh has to offer in Japanese cuisine. On first impressions I thought it was rather small, however the restaurant had a good ambience to it with Japanese TV being shown and a sitting-bar in front of the chef. Looking through the menu I could see a number of standard dishes with a couple I had not come across such as the beef sashimi. Eager to compare with the quality fish available at bonsai, i ordered an assorted Nigiri set with salmon sashimi, relatively cheap at 10.95. The fish served on the nigiri was good, however did as fresh as i would've expected, this is apart from their salmon which was delicious. Another niggle was the small amount of rice used as the bed for the nigiri. The omelette nigiri also tasted a big too strong for what i am usually used too. The salmon used in the sashimi and nigiri as i said before, was of a high standard that i would expect. The most frustrating part of the meal was the extremely large and thick plastic chopsticks! After using thinner wooden chopsticks for a long time i found these awkward to use. Minor annoyance! Overall? I enjoyed my meal here however after reading various raving reviews online i was disappointed. I was expecting high quality throughout the menu, but was presented at times with fairly average food. From my experience, much better Japanese food can be tasted in Edinburgh, however the meal in Sushiya was generally quite good and relatively cheap.
Sushiya – EdinburghFood great and the waitress Michelle, oh what a girl, she caters for your every need x
Delhi Darbar – GlasgowIt's the berries ++++++++++++
Delhi Darbar – Glasgowwill be back ......often !
Trader Joes – Glasgowwell worth a visit great atmosphere
Giffnock Ivy The – GlasgowI have dined several times at the Plumed Horse and have found the food inventive and flavoursome. My wife and I and friends attended the recent Gourmet evening which was fantastic and amongst the best meals any of us have experienced. The recommended wine pairings with the 7 courses were inspired. This restaurant is verging on 2 star Michelin and Tony Borthwick and his team deserve every award going. The service is attentive and friendly and not stuffy and overbearing. It is difficult to recommend a particular dish since they are all amazing.
Plumed Horse – EdinburghWhat a place , was in with my friend for a b'day nite out and we enjoyed every bit of it. 11/10 wish it was possible it was excellent in all areas. Best indian in the west end. Beat it if you can Mr Majhu
Balbirs Restaurant – GlasgowWhat a meal, was in on Wednesday 17th April, was there with a group of friends, had originally booked a table for 4 but we were 5 were informed by the manager that it was fine. When ordering our meal a chap in glasses came over and offered us the banquet, 3 out of 5 choice to go for it and we never regretted it. What food even the other 2 regretted not going for it. 10/10 in all areas. Balbir should be proud of his team their. The restaurant blends in well with the interior surrounding , layout, Indian music and the atmosphere.
Balbirs Restaurant – GlasgowRecently reopened and what a difference! Beautiful big spacious pub with great modestly priced food. Highly recommended
Trader Joes – GlasgowGreat for teenagers and those who think they are still teenagers! No reserving tables for parties less than 6 is most inconvenient, especially when travelling some distance and finding no tables available or a lengthy queue.
Hard Rock Cafe – EdinburghGreat place for a quality meal and cheap drinks. A good old fashioned Glasgow pub!
Cairns – GlasgowDecided to give this wonderful little restaurant a try after hearing so many good things, my husband said it was one of the best steaks he had ever been served, starters were all yummy and pizzas were like being in Italy. You can tell the minute you walk through the door it is a family run restaurant as it is so welcoming...well worth a visit again and again and again.......Ps. You must try the Chicken Milanese and the home-made Tiramisu
Torna Sorrento – GlasgowThis is definitely the very best Indian restaurant in Edinburgh from the minute you enter this establishment to the minute you leave you are in for a Indian culinary masterpiece that I have never seen equalled anywhere in Britain
Lancers Brasserie – EdinburghHave only visited twice and was impressed. Food was freshly prepared and the cost was very reasonable due to the portion size. Staff were very efficient and friendly in both queen street and Dumbarton road restaurant. Will definitely visit again. Great place to visit as a couple or group.
Ichiban Noodle Cafe – GlasgowThought i would try out this place after hearing good raves about this place, and have to say excellent choice. Spoke to a chap called Lucky, who suggested that we should try the restaurant popular banquet. After been explained about it we all went for it, and what a meal, will be back with more of my friends and relatives. Keep it up guys.
