Giffnock Ivy The – Glasgowgood Italian food. They know how to cook!!
Battlefield Rest – GlasgowOur starters arrived before our drinks! our drinks did not take long.....somethings wrong here.
Paperinos – GlasgowCame here with 10 year old son after failing to find the Thistle St Sushi place. Enjoyable sushi, not that we are experts. The cones made from seaweed were a bit tough for our liking but the sushi with less seaweed was good and the fish fresh and tender. I enjoyed the green tea and red bean ice creams, my son was less keen. He liked watching the chef and the Japanese TV. The noodle based main courses looked good.
Sushiya – EdinburghI'm surprised to be the first to rave about this restaurant. I can only think that as it is placed in a posh food court that it misses out on reviews. I have eaten here twice and not been disappointed with the wonderful fresh food, authentic Italian service and ambience - the restaurant has two areas for eating, inside and outside on the Princes Square terracing. Especially recommended is around Christmas period when you look over the giant Christmas tree and choirs singing below, all adding to the taste of Christmas. If, like me, you feel Christmas is superficial, then try an evening, after Christmas shopping, to plonk your bum in Zizzi's and sample the pizza and pino grigio. Their salad dressing is freshly made and recommended. The cost of a simple meal is average - a couple of glasses of wine, bottle of water, pizza, bolognaise and salad £28 for two. Buon Appetite.
Zizzi – GlasgowThe food and service were well above average. However, the restaurant is most interesting as it occupies three rooms which have been converted from an early seventeenth century boot and shoemaker's shop, workshop and residence. It was once owned by the father of the artist, David Roberts and is where he was born.
SongKran 2 – Edinburghgreat place a good mix of casual but the service and food are of fine dining standards, great place for guaranteed good meal, no nonsense and professional place
La Piazza – EdinburghGreat Pub for the craic.Good for live irish music.Beer a bit dear thou.
Kellys Bar – GlasgowBeen using this restaurant for many years. Jimmy Wong recently sold out for it to be purchased by the owners of Siagon Siagon. Who have really attempted to continue, quite successfully, the standard set by Jimmy Wong or at least by his chef. The deep fried chilli beef is a must equally so aromatic crispy duck and grilled sole Peking style.
Rendezvous – Edinburghfirst class!! The best service around!! will be back very soon!
Giffnock Ivy The – GlasgowThe best indian restaurant in scotland. Authentic delicious Indian food, good potions and excellent service. staff are great and ever so helpful. go downstairs for a more casual meal with more fast food type food (pizza, kebab etc) or upstairs in the restaurant for a more proper meal. if nobody? ever been, its one place you just HAVE to go. you wont regret it. By far the best indian in glasgow.
Village Curry House – GlasgowI first visited this restaurant about 25 years ago when I was a student in Edinburgh and I'm delighted to find that it still exists. It is a truly unique experience to eat here...and sometimes you do a lot more than eat. We used to dance and look at Armenian atlases and have stimulating discussions with the owner. You must go here at least once in your life. Evelyn Roe
Aghtamar Lake Van Monastery In Exile – EdinburghMy family and I have been eating here since it opened and we have yet to be let down. The food is exceptional and is served in good time. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. 10/10!
Di Maggios – GlasgowFood excellent, service great. Intimate restaurant that really catered well for both the acquired and mainstream tastes.
Giffnock Ivy The – GlasgowThe fillet steaks are to die for!
Giffnock Ivy The – GlasgowCan't believe no one has written a review about the Koh-I-Noor before now ! We have been going here for over 30 years and it is just as good ad ever. Our 2 daughters have been brought up on Koh-I-Noor curries and although we now live in Cheshire we still travel back north for regular "fixes" of the best curries on the UK. Thanks to Rasul, Waseem, and all the others over the years for the excellent service.
Koh-I-Noor Restaurant The – GlasgowHad a fantastic time on our yearly trip to Edinburgh. Stumbled on garibaldi? by accident .great atmosphere and music. a bit like blade or dusk till dawn felt there was something going on but not sure what ! What ever, it was the best night out we've had for ages we'll be back next year..............
