Barbarossa – GlasgowOne of my Sudanese friends recommended I try this restaurant. The food is fantastic and the prices are good. The restaurant could do with a new lick of paint but other than that it is great. Definitely now on my list of favourites in town.
Nile Valley Cafe The – EdinburghStunning location, great views and wonderful service.
Harvey Nichols 4th Floor Restaurant – EdinburghA very nice restaurant but the staff can be quite cheeky. Overall OK
Caprice – EdinburghCan't praise this place enough, it is under rated by far. Do go when you have a LARGE appetite....HUGE portions given, once had a wedding reception there, again large tasty portions, friendly accommodating staff. Soft music playing, Also, as I live nearby, food is maybe apparently dear but so very much worth it. have had family special occasion meals there and can watch chef cook though open plan hatch style kitchen, decor is of old streets painted in soft colours, of old town scenes of barrhead....and you hear the tempting steaks sizzling, so tasty so LARGE ! go porterhouse steak and it needs two plates ! lol you are given any uneaten steak and baked potatoes etc home wrapped in tin foil so there really is no waste)(and I dare say, no WAIST lol) and nowt can be too much hassle for the friendly staff once again -definitely posh and delicious !
SJ @ Snooks – GlasgowI went for a meal in metropolitan, not only was the meal great, the layout was also impressive. Staff were extremely professional. Liked it that much that we are organised our staff event there.
Metropolitan Cocktail Bar – GlasgowWe have used this restaurant many times over the past 20 years and have always had a very nice meal. They also cater for carrying out your meal. The staff are chatty and friendly.
Omar Khayyam – EdinburghWe had a family celebration there. They decorated our table with helium balloons and personalised the A la Carte menus for us. The original artwork of the old town inside Snooks is wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, too. Totally worth it!
SJ @ Snooks – GlasgowWent here after being told by lots of my friends what a great place it was. Have to say they were right, it was superb. Even my children ate everything which is a 1st.
Mussels Steak Bar – EdinburghPricey but worth it! The Edith Piaf music wafting through the air, the great wine choices, and the unbelievable choices of game meats make this restaurant a wonderful choice. Very nice for a first date or a romantic evening.
La Camargue and Cameo Bar – Edinburgha really good dining experience and a very good pre theatre option. Staff are very friendly and attentive.
Dragon I – GlasgowThis is the place to eat in the West End. It is well worth a visit. Everything about this place is great.
Cafe Andaluz – GlasgowThis is a help yourself restaurant which offers a wide selection of Chinese foods. When I go to Glasgow i always go to this restaurant.
Kings Lodge – GlasgowRoast beef Sunday lunch was excellent, not good selection for vegetarians. Lots of menu dishes unavailable. Great staff and great surroundings.
The Living Room – EdinburghI have eaten in many top class restaurants and found the food here of an equal standard. Absolutely delicious flavoursome food. Well worth visiting again and again! East Kilbride needs more places like it instead of the boring generic Beefeater style places.
Peters Seafood Restaurant – GlasgowGreat indian takeaway, food is amazing, try the doner pizza with cheese on top, highly recommended. p.s chilli sauce . . . out of this world
Madras Cottage – EdinburghThai choices at lunchtime were excellent, quality very good, prices very reasonable. Recommend during day or evening. Would recommend for
Poonthais – EdinburghI have never been so impressed with a restaurant from the front door welcome to the coffee before leaving, this was certainly a visit to remember that will have me coming back again. the food was not only cooked to perfection but was beautifully presented.
