The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingWas in for afternoon tea on fri as we had been several times before was looking forward to this there was 4 of us and booked for the 20 pound one with fizz but didn’t get that which wasn’t a hardship we had an over priced bottle of wine instead . The afternoon tea was terrible the roughly cut sandwiches were hard on the top the scones tiny this time and the cake well it was a Costco cake cut up it was very plentyful but there is only so much cake you can eat . In main bar no Diet Coke no ice on a Friday really . Spent many a good afternoon in ravelston but very disappointed
Ravelston House – EdinburghAbsolutely delicious meal. Juicy langoustines in garlic butter. Beautiful whole sea bream with a fabulous fresh and zingy citrus salsa. Wonderful halibut beautifully cooked. Great atmosphere and lovely staff.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWonderful food with impeccable service. Fresh, seasonal and local fish and seafood carefully and imaginatively cooked. A nod to international cuisine - a touch of Thai, a frisson of French, a medley of Mexican - but nothing that stands in the way of the gritty integrity of the main ingredients. Casual and lively ambience underscored by attention to detail and pride in the craft of cooking.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeAll round a lovely experience. The staff were welcoming, helpful, cheerful and efficient. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Thank you
Crumb – DumfriesHad a fabulous dinner here last night, service was excellent and food was even better
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeSuperb meal, the best seafood restaurant that keeps us coming back. Please never change
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeWhat a delightful restaurant. The staff was full of energy and positive vibes that matched the incredible seafood. Oysters, herring, halibut and the fish curry were all excellent. Highly recommend!
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeBeautiful meal. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here, would recommend
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeDelicious food and great price, good service too!
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingThis was our first time back since you reopened, and was not disappointed. The new revamped decor is beautiful yet subtle. The waiting staff were young, enthusiastic and very attentive, despite occaisionally forgetting what the specials were. However, their cheerful attitude meant this didn't really matter to us. The food was amazing
Crumb – DumfriesHad a lovely meal again at Crumb the service was excellent. Love the new look of the restaurant. Staff really attentive will definitely visit again.
Crumb – DumfriesExcellent. Superb food. So good we booked again in the week. Highly recommended.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeJust as good as we expected it to be! The variety of seafood dishes is first rate. It's fresh in and prepared as ordered to ensure maximum taste. My wife has a shellfish allergy which we, of course, mentioned and the chef took particular care to ensure that she would not be affected. In fact, it's the one fish restaurant that we know where we have no hesitation in booking because we're sure it is safe for her.
Cafe Fish – Argyll and ButeGood choice that I booked as restaurant was busy. Food was excellent I had the steak pie. My father had the chicken breast and cheesecake for dessert which he enjoyed. Over the course we had 5 different servers, all pleasant but when we asked for bill the server forgot and continued other tasks until we had to remind him. It would have been nice to have one server to provide a more personal touch.
The Golden Lion Hotel – StirlingFood was fantastic. Fresh seafood cooked perfectly with great flavours. Disappointed not to get a window table given we had booked well in advance. A hassle to pay cash. Service not great, had to continually get attention of wait staff.
