Excellent food, great value for money, Staff very polite and attentive.

Excellent service. Good food at a very reasonable price, especially as costs rise.

10 of us had the 3 course festive lunch and it was excellent. The service was very quick and we all got our meals at the same time. Portions were generous and hot when they arrived. The surroundings are lovely and comfortable. Our only negative point was we thought the bottle of house wine wasn't very good and a bit overpriced but otherwise a lovely afternoon.

Attended for Christmas lunch with a party of 19. The food and presentation were superb. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We will definitely go back I would certainly recommend it

Amazing place to eat, food beautiful especially the steaks. This is our 2nd time visiting. Will be back soon. The waiters were lovely also .

Ate here with my husband and son. We all really enjoyed our meals. I had the Turkey special, which was delicious and generous portion. My son loved his meal and ice cream. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the dining area had a lovely atmosphere. The 2 course lunch deal was excellent value for money. Rounded our meal off with a delicious sticky toffee pudding. Will definitely return!

Service and food excellent.

I met a friend for lunch 1/12/22. Staff very friendly and polite. Calm efficient service so lovely relaxed atmosphere. We both opted for the chicken balmoral, delicious and served with a nice selection of veg. We both enjoyed dessert, mine was sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. It had been a while since I was last in the Ravelston but hope to be back again soon

The serves was very poor. Pre ordered and 2 dishes were incorrect. Another meal had to be asked for 3 times. Drinks took a while also. Very disappointed

Highly recommend the high tea it was a beautiful meal and the hot scones and cakes were outstanding also staff were great and friendly

Highly recommendable. Coming from Denmark, we have visited several times to enjoy the "High Tea", each time selecting the same main course. Excellent beer battered fish and chips to start with and the best scones we have ever tasted! Their cappuccino is both tasty and very large (unfortunately, the coffee machine was broken at this visit....). Nice ambience and pleasant service goes hand-in-hand with the good food - and reasonable pricing as well.

The food was fantastic and the location is outstanding. We met our overseas friends there for dinner and they loved it too. Very Scottish feel and look with lots of history.

We have now visited this restaurant twice in the last month and have found that, as with our previous visit, the food and wine was excellent. The staff are very friendly and efficient and the whole atmosphere was very welcoming. The decor changes that have been made by the new management have also brightened up the restaurant, given it a lift, and set a very pleasant tone. I continue to recommend this restaurant for those seeking a special experience with regards to both food and wine.

Disappointing second visit. Sat for 20mins before any service. Had to go to bar to ask for drinks Table service slow and food service poor with meals delivered in stages so food getting cold waiting on sides and some mains. Food on while good but sides eg chips poor quality.

This was our first visit and will not be our last. The food and service was excellent, we could not fault anything. The atmosphere was perfect for a meal and catch up with friends pleasant background music.

This was a very special meal in a lovely atmosphere. The staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. Again the food was superb.
