Couldn’t fault both the service and the quality of the meal. All three of us really enjoyed our choices off an imaginative and well thought through menu. My Cullen Skink was excellent and the Scallops starter was as good as I have had anywhere. The Veggie options were just as good. A great experience all round.

2nd time here and food was lovely again. The staff are lovely and friendly. I would just say again service very slow. We were sat for over 20mins before a drinks order was even taken. So if pre theatre and having more than 1 course book at least 2 hours before show time! Other than that, wine and dine at your leisure, I would recommend ❤

Had a lovely meal at the Golden Lion. Great decor, great service and a really inventive meal that was absolutely delicious. Haddock wrapped in salmon. Can wholly recommend this place in Stirling.

Had a fantastic family meal for my daughters birthday. Six of us visited. Sunday roast was amazing, four of us had the roast beef. Son had a fillet also fantastic. Service was great. No Complaints and will definitely visit again soon.

We enjoyed our meal, although some had portion sizes that were a little small. The staff worked hard to accommodate our needs. The following is intended to be helpful. We had previously advised the restaurant two of our party were vegan, a fairly standard occurence these days so it was disappointing to find no vegan options for pudding. There was also only one option for vegetarian or vegan meal, we do think a choice might be a minimum in a restaurant of this quality. 000000

Seven of us enjoyed dining at The Hamnavoe that we did so twice during our stay. We loved the carefully prepared food: we loved the welcome: we loved the service by carefully trained staff: we loved the ambiance - we loved The Hamnavoe and wish the new owners everything that is good for the years ahead! Hope to eat here again in March on next visit!

Been to the ravelstone quite a few times and never disappointed food is always amazing and staff are always welcoming and friendly definitely would be back.

Menu choices were good, and was great to see a separate vegan menu. However service was poor. Watched our drinks sitting on the bar for 10 minutes, in the end I went and collected them myself. Ordered beer battered fish and chips, fish was very greasy and only a handful of chips. Also ordered the vegan risotto and the risotto rice was still hard at bits. Followed with a cheese board, which came with small section of sliced apple, branston pickle and the worst standard cheese selection, wasn’t worth £9. Overall not great and won’t be back.

Best meal we had of our holiday. A bit stingy with only 2 scallops for a starter but they were very tasty. Everything we had was delicious and the service was great. Couldn’t fault it really.
