Very nice place, we go there often. The food is good, the staff friendly, what more could you ask for?

1st time here although we have our caravan at charmouth for 5years we have never been . Easy to book online friendly staff. The carvery was excellent loads of choice nice little garden we will definitely recommend this lovely pub

Food was great, just a mix up with the booking, we had a e mail confirmation, but not added to the table list,, staff resolved the issue and were very apologetic.

Food and service was absolutely amazing, clean tidy and the most important thing was that they are dog friendly.

Had a super lunch with friends at the H I on 13th March. The welcome from the bar staff and servers was excellent and the pub was spotless..including the toilets! The sea bass , eaten by the four of us, was excellently cooked with nice accompaniments…we were all delighted with our meals. We were very pleased we chose the HI and will return very soon. I could chatted all day with the bartender about guitars, bands and music…which was a bonus being a picker myself!

During our stay in Axmouth we visited harbour inn twice. Staff were super friendly and very efficient. Nothing too much trouble. The food was great. Enormous and tasty pork ribs and a very good pizza. We had the sunday carvery and all 5 of us thought it was the best carvery we had ever had. The meats were tender and there was a vast range of veggies along with sausage yorkies and stuffing Highly recommend.

We had a really lovely Sunday roast here. The food was delicious with plenty of veggies with the meat, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. The service was attentive and very friendly. I would definitely recommend and will be returning next time we are back in Devon.

We first got to know Sean(?)'s cooking at other venues... and when we heard he was at The Harbour Inn, it followed that we would also follow! Never disappointed... the man is a genius and his staff are usually on par with him....

The staff were great and very friendly, cannot fault that. The food was not good. 3 of the main courses were not available and therefore we both had the half chicken. Unfortunately they were over cooked and dry and without any real flavour, not sure about the pesto pasta with it, seemed a bit odd. The coleslaw wasn’t particularly nice. The best thing were the chips. Our first try here but won’t be back. The Ship up the road is a lot better.

This unfortunately did not meet our expectations of a restaurant that has a gold Taste of the West Award. My mother’s meal of ‘slow cooked belly pork’ was largely inedible, our other two meals were adequate. The staff were very pleasant and we were not charged for the belly pork. A shame.

Great service from friendly welcoming staff. Excellent quality food. Was a bit quiet when we went in but very warm and cozy inside. Good variety of food and drink to choose from (only one thing on the menu was unavailable).

Great pub, lovely friendly staff, great atmosphere and good food and beer! What more can you ask for?

We had a very nice lunch on New Years Day. Food was excellent and the servers were very friendly, courteous and attentive. We will definitely be coming back !
