Booked family meal for my mother’s 85th birthday. Booking was easy. Acknowledgment about dietary needs and accomodating a birthday was second to none. Chef even came to the table to double check the allergies. There was obviously a new member of staff who was still learning who jumbled a few things up but the overall service was excellent. Food was superb and very fitting for a birthday lunch. Thank you so much for going that extra mile with the candle for my Mum. It really made her day.

We booked a meal here on Saturday. All I can say is that it was perfect. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Lovely atmosphere to a lovely country pub. We will definitely be visiting again

We visited for lunch by air so it was great to find 0% Kronembourg on draught. The service was very friendly and the food delicious. Great pub! Wish it were nearer to us.

Lovely traditional pub, great choice of ales which are well kept. Traditional Pub Grub which is done extremely well. Ben served us and is a real asset to the place, great banter and would highly recommend. I will knock off 0.25 of the score, only because the wrong pie was served, but it was delicious.

This was our second visit and again we were served delicious home cooked food. There’s a light bites menu and a god choice on the children’s menu. The staff are really polite and friendly and it’s really good value for money. Recommend the beef and ale pie 100%

Great Sunday roast. Well cooked, good portions and very tasty. Excellent value for good quality food. Will definitely come again.

Took my family for afternoon tea. The food was freshly prepared. The sandwiches where tasty and the cakes and scones where delicious. In fact, we had to take home a goodie box. However, the let down was no tea provided. I requested some for five people but only got a pot for two cups. The mugs provided where dirty and I had to give them back. They could only give me four cappuccino cups and a cleaned mug back and still didn't get anymore tea. And I was charged for the tea. So not a full experience for the charge stated. The staff where lovely and helpful but seemed to be very busy.

Great Sunday roast meal with the family, lovely waiting staff with great customer service. Dog friendly too and would highly recommend. Thank you it was wonderful.

Took family for a meal early Saturday teatime. Callum was excellent for service and friendliness however the meals were hit and miss. 2 people had the steak and blue cheese ciabatta - the steak was chewy and no real taste of blue cheese. The steak on the surf and turf was also tough and that was ordered with blue cheese sauce which wasn’t a sauce. Chunky chips were overcooked on all meals.
