Friday lunch for 4 people and very dog friendly. Sea bass was lovely and nicely presented. Lamb kebab was OK. Starters of Scotch egg and Fish cakes also very good. Excellent Service from the sole bar lady

Great place , warm and cosy inside , although my wife found it alittle cool , I work outside so I found it ok , steaks were great nicely cooked , onion rings were best I’ve had , so nice place to go for a steak , if you are abit on the cooler side of a person , take a jumper , overall great place

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere had a great time

The service was brilliant couldn’t fault it. Young waitress who looked after us was so polite and friendly, we didn’t understand what something on the menu was so she went away and researched to find out :) drinks were lovely too, the food was ok, I wouldn’t rave about it but it was alright… it was a lovely evening though :)

This was my first visit at Tilley Raven & sadly I won't be returning. I called to book a table for 7 people whilst on a country walk in the area and was told they couldn't fit us in until an hour after our requested time. When we finally arrived for our allocated time the place was absolutely empty so there was no reason why they couldn't have fit us in. We were also asked to pre-order for 7 people in an empty pub with 3/4 items not available to order. Chloe the supervisor had zero warmth or customer service about her and the place was freezing. Thankfully the sunday roast was very nice but not enough for me to want to return!

Terrible experience, most the food was lukewarm. Some chicken bits were cold when bitten into, we asked for them to be taken away and they were returned to us having been reheated as the bite mark was still there! I did email in regards to this but no response. I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Excellent evening and amazing steaks. Cooked very well and exactly how requested them. The bone marrow sauce is a must. Staff attentive, friendly and we will definitely return.

We went for the soft launch evening and had a wonderful time. Staff were very attentive and keen to hear feedback, food was delicious. Will definitely return and would recommend..

Visited on Xmas Eve. Good welcome and staff were friendly, amiable and professional in waiting on us. Food was excellent - the best scallop starters in terms of size and tasted in a long while. Good advice given re choosing an individual steak or a sharing one. Chose the latter on best value for money and weight. Ordered medium rare - perfection. We shall return.

We booked just after New Year and at the beginning of opening time, not sure I would do this again, as it was quite a large open space and with us and only another couple of diners there really wasn’t much of an atmosphere and the it was very cold even though we were next to a radiator. They didn’t have what we wanted due to having no delivery’s over the festive period (we were informed) so we had to reorder and this took an exceptionally long time to arrive a little strange as we were the only ones being served. The food however was very good indeed and for this reason alone I would go back, but I would book at another time of day.

The steak was superb, cooked to perfection, the pie was delicious & so was the sea bass, sides were also fabulous! Lovely venue to dine in & atmosphere was just right. However, the service was second to none - just brilliant, attentive but not suffocating, offered table water upon seating & brought replacement carafes as soon as asked, lovely polite & informed staff, we couldn’t have had better service. Thank you!

Fantastic food couldn't fault anything, the duck spring rolls off the sharer were delicious and very well prepared. Followed by a gorgeous, succulent ribeye steak and beef dripping chips the mac and cheese was the best iv ever had. We were seated in a colder part of the restaurant to start with but once we moved we were lot warmer.

New Year’s Day lunch Needed heating as radiator not working. Fan eater helped and place warmed up as more people arrived. Service a bit slow about 3/4 hour Meal very good except the Thai curry that we asked to add chicken as per menu was two pieces of breast meat just added on the plate, not curried or anything. . Curry part nice flavour though. Hostess and staff very welcoming and atmosphere friendly. Fish and chips/ veggie kebabs and burger meals excellent.

I had the sirloin steak at Ribeye, served with fries, mushrooms, and tomatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavour, with crisp fries and nicely balanced sides. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, making it an enjoyable place to sit and enjoy a proper steak. Overall, a satisfying meal in a great setting and the chef very handsome.

The food was lovely, the staff were amazing so welcoming and helpful! Will return definitely. We ate there Christmas eve !
