Our table was a bit out of the way next to the kitchen, but we did book late so maybe all they had available. Was very busy and a bit of a wait on the starters. All the food however was fabulous.

Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonPossibly the best restaurant in Skipton. We ate on New Year’s Eve and the whole evening was amazing!
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonSteak and ale pie to die for with a good host and service
The Maypole – SkiptonLovely food. Great staff Great atmosphere. Staff very busy after main courses. Had to search someone out to get hot drinks after meal. Still very good
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonCalled in for an 'in between Christmas and New Year' lunch. Haven't been for many years, not really since the days of 'Luke'. It was friendly, buzzy and welcoming even though we were sat upstairs. The menu is extensive and we could each have chosen many items - will try others next time. The service was good and food excellent. Quite pricey but well worth the money.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonGreat food and lovely atmosphere. Had a lovely meal.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonLovely food and great service. Lacking a bit of atmosphere due to it being quiet
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonHad a lovely lunch on Sunday. Salmon en croute was delicious, especially the sauce. My husband enjoyed his seafood parcel too and thought the chips were beautifully crispy. Sticky toffee pudding was great too but may have tipped me over the edge! Great service. Will definitely be back! We found the restaurant a bit cold too though it warmed up after a while.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonSumptuous food served by lovely staff, 10% service charge well deserved, only let down by management was no bottled cokes/mineral waters available.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonFantastic meal yesterday with friends. Lovely welcoming staff & beautiful food, restaurant was a little cold.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonRecently went for our annual Christmas meal, disappointed that we weren't sat in the place we were promised and were sent upstairs where it was cold and lacking atmosphere. Pre ordered for a 5 o'clock booking but food didn't arrive until 5.45 , we could see it sat waiting to be brought to us but the young staff were more interested in looking at their phones behind the bar. Service was poor Nothing festive about it, did ask if there were any crackers but no-one came back to us All in all a disappointing evening, food was tasty but that was the the only plus
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonAccommodated our Christmas party of 25 with ease. Great menu choices with no complaints! The food and service was excellent throughout. The best French Onion soup I've ever had! We will be back :)
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonWe went yesterday for my birthday meal. We arrived at 6.30 pm, the restaurant was freezing cold. The food was good, not fantastic. The wine I ordered was out of stock but they offered the next most expensive at the same price, that was good. The downer on ours and the couple next to us was a works party of 9 who were well too loud ALL the time, so much so we just wanted to go back to our hotel so skipped a desert. Why they could NOT have been seated upstairs I don't know !
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonWe had our works Christmas meal here. The restaurant took pre-bookings of meal choices which made the service very quick and smooth on the evening. All the staff were very happy, helpful and attentive. The food was delicious and very generous portions. I personally found the beef bourguignon to be one of the best beef dishes I have every had! The restaurant was lovely, it would have just been nice to have some Christmas music in the background and maybe crackers on the table to make it feel festive. Overall, a lovely meal, thank you. We will be back :)
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonWe went for a family Sunday lunch. First of all we all agreed the food was good and we enjoyed it, however the service was bad. It took twenty minutes after ordering to get a bottle of wine or a gin and tonic. One of the party was gluten free and despite being made aware of this they brought the main course with Yorkshire pudding which was not gluten free. When trying to order liqueur coffees they did not have any amoretto and when we changed to Tia Maria they did not have any cream. I have to add here that there is an M & S food hall 50 yards along the road so they could have popped out and bought some!! The senior waitress was aware of what had happened and did apologise and we know there was a reduction in the bill. A shame as lovely food but spoiled by bad service.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonAn excellent lunchtime celebrating meal for our family. Catered for various food requirements to a very high standard and service was excellent.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonSet Menu: 2 courses, £22; 3 courses, £27. Available Monday to Friday.
