Had a thoroughly enjoyable Sunday meal with my son on Sunday. We both have significant allergies but the chef produced a safe and delicious meal (not the stripped away bare essentials with no sauce etc which one gets at many restaurants) Staff were helpful and patient. Strongly recommended to everyone but especially to those with special dietary needs. Kate Ward

The two of us had a lovely meal last night. The scallops were absolutely delicious as were the Moneybags and desserts. Reasonably priced and excellent service. Friendly staff and a lovely ambiance. Will be back soon with friends.

Wat a nice experience of good and tasteful french food after to much tastless english food

A very enjoyable experience,we booked early on Friday evening and had ate from the early bird menu. The service from the two servers was impeccable.our drinks were served promptly and the food was delicious.i can highly recommend this restaurant for service, excellent food and value for money.we look forward to returning.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here on 23 May. Both of us chose the Seafood money bags which were excellent. Our dog also received a warm welcome and enjoyed her visit!

This place was terrible. For starters the homemade bread we got with our food was stale. When we asked for more we were told there wasn’t any left. Then with our main there was more stale bread… when we asked about it we were told that the bread is frozen and they needed to thaw some out. The plates were dirty the cutlery was dirty. My steak was overcooked, I ate a reasonable amount but when I told the waitress that it was bad they told me I should have been told they overcooked the steak and I could have had another one cooked properly. When I told them I wasn’t going to pay for me steak they told me I would get 10% off it and that the manager had got us a special 5% extra so the total discount for a bad steak that wasn’t cooked correctly would have been approx £2.50!? This was totally unacceptable. The waitress then guilted us by saying she would pay for the steak instead. What an awful thing to do to paying customers who’d driven 40 mins to get there!! There was a table of rude older people who were making snide comment about my fiancé all throughout the meal too Overall terrible, avoid this place at all costs!!!

Very nice place , staff were excellent. The only downside was the lack of fish which was in the recommended sea food money bag main.

What a fabulous experience we had at Le Bistro Des Amis in Skipton. We booked our wedding reception for 15 May. Can't fault anything. The service, food, attention to detail and atmosphere was excellent. Fraser took time to take note of what we wanted and delivered exceeding our expectations. The young staff, especially Eva, were enthusiastic, smiley and professional. We have no hesitation to recommend the full range of menu! Thank you all Tim and Anwen x

We had a lovey experience in Le Bistro with excellent service and great food. The staff were friendly, engaging and helpful. The food was well cooked and tasty - warning the portions are big! We would thoroughly recommend Le Bistro des Amis

Knocked it out of the park! 5 of us ate after completing Y3P so to say we were ravenous was an understatement. From the kick off we were welcomed warmly by all and treated to a great meal- steaks were all cooked with real craft and we were well fed all round. To top it off, after chatting to the landlord and other locals about our charity walk, he very kindly donated to the cause . Can’t fault anything, it might be somewhere you pass a lot or you’re planning to drive past. Next time you do; stop, and sample some good food and even better hospitality. We will all be back soon.

Excellent food and service. I love visiting this restaurant. This time I took two friends and they loved it too. The food is cooked to perfection. The staff are attentive and we were looked after from the moment we stepped through the door.

My duck was so saturated in salt it made me cough! The broth with my husband’s moules was so salty it upset his stomach. The service was so slow with very young staff ignoring our plates that needed clearing in favour of chatting to their mates. Very disappointing way to spend our 10th wedding anniversary.

We were looking forward to eating here after reading a number of positive reviews. We would have liked to leave a positive review but sadly not. Overall a disappointing experience and not what we expected. Food was average at best (have eaten better at motorway service stations). Service from two very pleasant young lady waitresses was somewhat hesitant. Atmosphere was okay although the corner of the restaurant we sat in was a dumping ground for surplus furniture. Value for money would have been very good had it not been for an inedible steak. Maybe it was an off night? Maybe we’ll return but probably not

One of the rare restaurants that lives up to its “French” description. Food - pate, duck confit and tarte au citron - was excellent. Pastis and wine selection added to the frenchness. Service was attentive and the atmosphere as a bistro was spot on (the upstairs was closed). Highly recommendable.
