We booked quite last minute for Friday evening. The pub was super busy and lively and we were looked after brilliantly by the staff. We had a drink in the beer garden before heading into the restaurant side for dinner. I sprung upon Jack behind the bar the idea of surprising my husband with a birthday cake. He was super accommodating and informed the kitchen. We enjoyed a delicious burger and the cod special. Both meals were so tasty and good sizes. It was proper northern hospitality at its best. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Booked a table for 6 of us for mothers day evening. Visiting Skipton, so unsure what to expect. Delighted with our restaurant choice. Fab welcome from the staff, service excellent, food to die for! We'll definitely book again on our next visit

The food is always fabulous. A mix of fine local ingredients and French style cuisine. I will be back.

Tremendous menu and lovely service from two really smart young waiters. We hosted two (VIP) friends from London, who live just by the Globe Theatre - loved everything about Le Bistro and reckoned there was nowhere near them which came close to the style, variety and quality. As locals we were pleased to hear this - but already knew the place was something special. Metropolitan quality with Yorkshire prices (and portions: none of us left hungry) The waiter recommended an excellent Portuguese red which was so good we forced ourselves to have a second bottle.

The food was really good, we both enjoyed it very much. The restaurant is lovely. One small niggle, when I received the bill one dish was costed at £24.95, however we remembered it being in the menu as £24 when we ordered. I grabbed a menu on the way up to the bar to pay and it was actually £24. I know it’s only £0.95 but when you order at a price then that is what should be charged. The waitress suggested (all of) the menus were old and needed updating when I pointed this out and didn’t seem to understand that the restaurant can’t just make a new price up after I have ordered and eaten it at a given price. The right thing to do would have been to redo the bill with the correct price but they just didn’t seem to know what to do. Again it’s only £0.95 out of a total bill of £70 but the principal remains. Unfortunately it ended up coming out of their service charge which isn’t what I wanted to do at all. The management should rectify this and check prices quoted are reflected at the till as it’s not very professional.

Had a lovely meal. The food was excellent and the staff were polite and friendly. We're going back for Sunday lunch it was that good.

Held a work evening event in the area upstairs for about 20 people. The staff could not have been more helpful, and the food was really great. Would definitely recommend for functions.

A wonderful ambiance with attentive staff Unfortunately the main course of belly pork was missing the black pudding although advertised and the meat itself was overcooked and tough This is a shame as it detracted from what was in general a lovely night

Our food was excellent, my brisket had being cooked to perfection, my partner vegetarian meal was in her words beautiful put together, the staff were so nice , very polite, the restaurant will definitely be on , our let's go again.

4 of us for dinner and the restaurant was unfortunately very quiet. Don’t people in the Skipton area know what a gem they are missing? This is our 3rd visit and it did not disappoint. Food was excellent and the service attentive and friendly, perfect. Look forward to a return visit.

Great food in a lovely setting Really enjoyed the food here. Their fish parcel is fantastic. Food reasonable prices. Good wine list and some very nice desserts. There was a little issue with our reservation. But this was sorted very quickly. I would recommend this restaurant.

Another amazing lunch at Le Bistro Des Amis. The staff were attentive (but not overly), polite and friendly, very helpful. The food there is always fantastic. Highly recommend

What a great little find, nice weekend away in Skipton. Food was excellent, great atmosphere and even better service. i Would visit again and would highly recommend.
