We had a very enjoyable evening here. The staff are lovely and the food is very good. The French onion soup is one of the best we have ever had and the fillet steak was delicious. Don't miss the chsnce to eat here if you are in Skipton it's well worth a visit.

We have been here several times before and have always had fabulous food and a great dining experience. But yesterday’s visit was different. The food was excellent, but was let down badly by the very poor service. We waited over 20 minutes for someone to take our order for coffees, and that was after going to find someone. After waiting another 20 minutes and no drinks arriving, we decided we’d had enough and wanted the bill, but there was no sign of anyone, so we had to seek someone out. Needless to say, this was a very disappointing Christmas lunch for the four of us..

We had a lovely meal at Le Bistro Des Amis while on a short break to Skipton. The food and service were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We ate off the Christmas fixed price menu which we thought was very good value. The only disappointment is that we live too far away to visit again in the near future, otherwise we would definitely be back!

We had a bit of a wait for our table but we were well looked after while we waited. Food was amazing. Service was excellent and the owner was entertaining! Highly recommended and we will definitely be back soon.

Fabulous lunch with my mother. If it’s effort on the food or the service and decor we’re always satisfied we’ll receive the best from this independent, enthusiastically run bistro.

Had a fantastic meal here. The choice for gluten free is great, more than half the meals are GF which is very unusual but very much appreciated. Standard of food is very high and the service was really good. Will be back very soon!

We had a family meal at Les Bistro Des Amis last Wednesday lunch time . The staff were friendly and gave us time to catch up before ordering our food. However it was very cold in the restaurant and the heating was inadequate, which spoiled the occasion . The Seafood money bags were delicious but on the small side for a main course and the treacle tart was disappointing as it looked and tasted like a shop bought one not made in house. I expect the food I order in a restaurant to have been made there or at least to indicate where it’s come from.

We had a lovely meal last night celebrating my mum's 88th birthday. The food was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to ensure mum had a good night.

We had a truly wonderful experience, it was my birthday on Friday I chose this restaurant I wasn’t disappointed at all, excellent food, service and ambiance, we will definitely be back when we visit skipton again.

We had booked for 7.30 but when we arrived we were told the table wouldn't be ready for half an hour.We went next door to the pub. When we got back to the restaurant we had a very good welcome from the two waitresses. We had a good meal.The service was excellent.

Delicious starters and Sunday lunch. The garlic mushrooms were amazing. Brisket melts in mouth, vegetables perfectly cooked proper Yorkshire puddings with the tastiest gravy. So good we have already booked our next visit. Highly recommended.

Everything was just fabulous can’t wait to go back

We are fairly frequent visitors to the Bistro and have never been disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere are always very good.

Fantastic food and service. We were there for a night without our teenage kids without any prior knowledge - truly excelled. Staff were attentive but also gave space. Food was high quality but also good quantities Not cheap but not expensive. We had pre booked and would recommend doing so to avoid disappointment

We brought my father in law for a meal here and he was so impressed. He thoroughly enjoyed his meal - the crackling on the pork a highlight. Our boys had the steak frites which were cooked to perfection and a very generous portion. We also received excellent service from all the staff. We have been here many times as a family and always enjoy it. Hope to be back soon!
