Pleasant bistro, relaxing and excellent non-obtrusive background music, perfect for a French bistro. The service is charming and friendly and the food excellent. Can't be beaten!

Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonFourth visit last night in five months , since first discovering this surprisingly special place in late April. We have returned with family and friends and the food never disappoints. The staff are friendly and efficient, even when clearly busy. The food has always been excellently cooked and delicious.

Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonFood excellent but service haphazard. Other tables' food brought to us . Dessert and extra wine forgotten until chased .
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonFirst time eating at Le bistro in Skipton. Food was lovely everyone really enjoyed their meals. The only thing that let it down was after looking at the menu online I was looking forward to coq au vin but it was not on the menu in the restaurant, but it was still 10/10.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonOverall good. Nice meal. Think customers should be advised that smoked trout has bones. It rather spoilt my meal trying to remove them. Excellent value for money. Service wise they seemed a bit understaffed. Didn’t take our food order at the table
The Maypole – SkiptonFood was superb, service was amazing. Highly recommended! A local gem
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonAte here last night, can’t believe the other reviews I’m afraid. We were very disappointing, was expecting a French menu and was so looking forward to our meal. Unfortunately, there was little in the way of French food on offer. I had the queen scallops and the dressed crab, which was very underwhelming. I would definitely not recommend.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonThoroughly enjoyed a late lunch with family. Great choice of food, especially if fish is a favourite, makes it difficult to choose! However, our choices turned out to be excellent, well cooked and appetising in presentation. All together, with great puddings too, an experience to be repeated! I have to mention the service - sorry I didn’t get the name - but the young woman was efficient and unfailingly pleasant, which can’t always be easy as she was constantly up and down stairs collecting food. Well done, and hope that your fine art studies at St John’s York go well!
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonVisited many times. Called in on a busy Saturday tea time. We got put into a different room away from the noise of the bar area. Probably because one of our party was wearing ear defenders. So thank you for your consideration. It was appreciated. Service was faultless. Food faultless and excellent. Value for money faultless. What more can I say ?
The Maypole – SkiptonWhat an excellent night, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend a visit
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonThe four of us very much enjoyed our meal at your restaurant. The food was delicious and very well presented. The staff were attentive and provided an excellent service. We would definitely recommend. Thank you.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonExcellent meal, excellent service too. Couldn't fault it at all. Would definitely recommend!!
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonWow what a find this restaurant was, everything about it was excellent .Even my wife ate everything. The flavours of the food just perfect. The blackberry brandy to finish was something different. Staff were a pleasure to talk to & service spot on. Thank you.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonService was very good. We didn't have a starter. My husband had the dressed crab, which he enjoyed. I had a steak. Which was nothing special. Cooked well, just not a great deal of flavour. Puddings were both good. Good selection of wines, but on the pricey side. We live in Skipton and have been to Le Bistro, several times. I just wished they would change the menu or do some specials as the menu never changes. I find now, that I struggle with what to have. As I like to try different dishes.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonI came alone for lunch on 12th August 24 at 12.30pm. The food was very good as usual. The service was excellent. Although the restaurant was very busy the young man and young lady that served me were attentive and helpful. Unfortunately I did not get their names but please commend them on my behalf. Thank you
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonWe visited early evening so possibly there wasn’t the atmosphere, however the food was excellent and the service was good. For me the Queenie scallops and the dressed crab would take a lot of beating. Everything was so fresh and the whole menu was interesting, a complete change from so many restaurants & hotels we visited during our stay in the U.K.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonI went to the bistro for lunch with a friend. It was one of those muggy days when you don’t feel so hungry - so being able to have 2 starters was ideal. The waitress brought us water for the table, was prompt in taking our order and checked about which starter we wanted to be served first. We both enjoyed our food very much, lovely bread and excellent flavours - just the right size too. The restaurant filled up quickly and there was a nice buzz about the place - though unusually, no music. The server pointed out that a service charge had been added to the bill but was clear that there was no requirement to pay. So many places don’t explain this so that got extra brownie points - and I was happy to pay it anyway to recognise a lovely lunch.
