Lovely meal. Very helpful staff. Big portions with the best produce used.

Visited Le Bistro Friday lunch time with a friend. Was greeted on arrival & shown to table. Water brought to the table. After reading the menu we ordered our choice of starters & mains. Couldn't fault anything. The food was delicious, the presentation was lovely & great service. We paid as we left, we were advised of the service charge but there was nothing of this prior! We did pay this as couldn't fault anything, although we had left a tip at the table. We will be definitely be back.

Main course excellent. My husband had treacle tart for pudding and was not very nice. Service was very slow, not many customers in there so unsure why the service was slow.

Having just arrived in the area on a Monday a lot of the restaurants weren’t serving, found this Pub on the web and made a booking. So it was a great surprise to find that the food was excellent and great value, would definitely eat there again

This is our go to place for special occasions, in this case it was my Birthday. The food as always is excellent and the staff are friendly and always helpful. Looking forward to our next visit

Poor service - inexperienced staff with no one giving any guidance or instruction. Food was average at best snd not hot enough. 40 mins wait between starters and mains. Won’t be returning.

We had a wonderful meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary this week. The food was excellent and the staff we friendly and professional. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience really tasty food in a welcoming atmosphere. We will certainly be going back again. Thank you to all at Le Bistro Des Amis

Our second visit to this Bistro. Great food, great service. Best meal we've had locally since leaving France and so looking forward to our next visit. We highly recommend this restaurant. You will certainly not be disappointed Richard Burnett.

Very impressed with this place. Good service , decent choices and reasonable prices.My only comment is that my steak frites was over cooked. A French restaurant would cook this very rare. The menu said pink and the waitress checked this was ok but it came out somewhere between medium and medium rare. Chef , you need to do better on this ! Otherwise excellent.

We had a midweek evening birthday meal here and the restaurant is absolutely lovely, authentic French atmosphere, music and decor. We both had scallop starter, perfectly cooked in garlic cheesy butter sauce. The 'seafood moneybag' was the star of the show on the main course, really delicious. Would recommend for a special occasion!

Fabulous little bistro, ambience was lovely & chilled. Staff attentive, food gorgeous, drinks prepared well. Would definitely recommend & will be back

We have been coming here for years and always have an excellent time. Our last visit was particularly good. The food and wine were excellent quality and we were not rushed through our courses. The atmosphere was so relaxed and the staff were all friendly, chatty and personable. Hope to be back again soon!

Pleasant bistro, relaxing and excellent non-obtrusive background music, perfect for a French bistro. The service is charming and friendly and the food excellent. Can't be beaten!

Fourth visit last night in five months , since first discovering this surprisingly special place in late April. We have returned with family and friends and the food never disappoints. The staff are friendly and efficient, even when clearly busy. The food has always been excellently cooked and delicious.
