A delicious meal here again. Seafood parcel was as good as ever and my wife's Toulouse sausage was gorgeous (so I'm told). Always a great place for a pre-concert meal before popping over to the Town Hall.

Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonIt’s our third visit and once again we were not disappointed with either the quality of food or service. The menu for lunch has a wide choice of dishes which should suit any palate. We will be back when we visit Skipton again
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonI had booked this for my partner's birthday but what a disappointment. The restaurant was cold with other diners wearing thick tops. Our comment on this was just met with a smile from the waitress. His pint of beer, one he drinks regularly, tasted nothing like the way it should and he couldn't finish it. Likewise I could not finish my glass of wine, one of the more expensive on the list. The starters were fine but the signature dish fish parcel was mediocre, a small portion and overpriced. My steak was not medium rare but medium. The first 2 mouthfuls were pure gristle and the rest tough. As my partner was still hungry he finished my meal but it was not great. Unfortunately can't recommend this. Our pub meal the following night was so much better.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonI found my steak to be rather chewy, whereas my husband's was lovely and soft. There were too many sauces on the plate...peppercorn, garlic mushroom, salad dressing and some mayonnaise type thing (?) The service was friendly and despite their obvious inexperience, they did well. It would have been good to see more vegetarian options and sadly the beef ravioli I chose was not available.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonWhat a delightful bistro restaurant which is set in the heart of Skipton and offers a varied and tasty menu . The atmosphere was calm, the service prompt and polite but, most importantly, the food was very tasty and of superb quality. A return trip will be planned soon.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonAs always amazing food, caring staff.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonThe food was excellent, large portions and freshly cooked everything came out steaming, service was very attentive and my partner and I had a very cosy evening, we highly recommend this restaurant.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonOur first ever visit here. We expected it to be quiet for a Monday evening around 7 but the bar area was absolutely buzzing when we arrived. Staff were so friendly and there was a happy atmosphere. Service very efficient. Menu is extensive but we opted for traditional ham egg and chips and scampi and chips. Both tasted good and the portions were very decent size. Only slight gripe was that the ham is actually a thick piece of gammon which was huge but not what I expected. Decor is quirky and interesting. Would definitely consider again if we find ourselves in the area.
The Maypole – SkiptonWhat a fabulous meal, a real treat, lovely surroundings and polite attentive staff, Highly recommend a visit to this great restaurant.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonLovely restaurant with good menu choice. Food was really nice and service was prompt and excellent. Would recommend.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonFood was reasonably good, nothing special. Very poor choice of drinks. Spanish beer in a so called French restaurant. Staff had very little knowledge about anything they were serving. Lacking any atmosphere.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonAll the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was beautiful. I had the Moroccan lamb tagine which was so tasty. My partner had steak , which he absolutely devoured. My dad chose the beef from the specials and left nothing on the plate. My mum had chosen ham and eggs, which, unfortunately, she didn't enjoy. It was not ham, it was a thick piece of gammon. She does not like gammon, so would not have chose this if she had realised and the eggs were overdone. We were all expecting thin slices of tasty Yorkshire ham, so were disappointed. A description on the menu would have been helpful. But other than this, the food was delicious and excellent value for money. Our dog felt very happy here and it was a lovely, calm and relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.
The Maypole – SkiptonBrilliant food again. We love the atmosphere and the food.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonAmazing food. Particularly recommend the seafood money bag the French onion soup and the Sunday roast. The service is always excellent. The only negative we have was the decor is rather tired and the table was sticky which may put new customers off as they aren’t aware of how amazing the food is.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonLovely atmosphere..great food and attentive staff- would definitely recommend.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonWe had lunch here on Monday August 25th (Bank Holiday). The food was traditionally French , the portions were ample and the service was attentive & friendly- thanks to our waitresses Ruby & Alice. In short, we look forward to our next visit!
