We regularly visit Le Bistro on a Saturday lunch time when visiting our family and have always had excellent food and great service. However on 7/11 we visited for my partners birthday. It was much busier than usual and the staff were running all over the place trying to keep up. Yes many things about the service were not great but what I would say , for us, this was not the norm and won’t stop us coming back. The young lad in charge ( don’t know his name apologies) was doing his best and was still friendly, polite and apologetic in very challenging circumstances !

Excellent food and service, extremely patient staff while we sorted out the bill!! My only comment…….the chicken came with mash which should have been sautéed potatoes , there were 26 in our group and I couldn’t send it back and risk waiting ages for it to be corrected. Would definitely recommend.

Visited on 7th Nov with my wife. What a superb evening, restaurant was relatively full but this did not retract from service. A reasonable time between courses allowing time to enjoy the wine but not to long. Owner on hand to ensure everyone happy very affable. We had pate starters and sea bass main all perfect. Great staff, great food good value. If we come back to the area will definitely call back.

Fabulous food, wonderful atmosphere, great staff.

Myself and my wife visited your restaurant on a visit to Skipton and were very disappointed. On arrival our first choice Wine was not available, our starter choices were available, next my wife's and my first choice main course ordered not available, my second choice main ordered not available. I was very disappointed with the food but my wife enjoyed hers. £112 not value for money.

We were a table of 5. Generally everything is great but unfortunately this time we were disappointed. We arrived at 14:00 and didnt receive our starters until 15:50. When they came the.bread was wrong not gluten free for one member of the party. The starters were fine. Then came the mains. 2 x pastas, 2 x chicken and one salmon fishcakes. The pasta wasn't very hot. One of the chicken dishes was dry and my friend didnt eat it. The service was very hit and miss. My other friend had to go and requests more drinks. I will say I think the staff were run ragged as there was a large table in but this should not have effected ours experience.

This is one of our favourite restaurants but it fell short of our expectations yesterday (02/11). The food as always was lovely. The service wasn’t great. We were served our main course before our starters that went back and the starters then took another 30 minutes to arrive. No apology or explanation given. Not great and we will be back.

Unfortunately me and my friend were very disappointed we have been many times but last night was very poor. I had Steak with Frites I could not cut the meat with the steak knife it was uneatable and the sides on my friends meal were burnt so will not be returning any time soon .

Enjoyable evening out with my wife to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary. Food was lovely, the service was good and the staff were excellent. I would have no hesitation in going back there again for a meal.

Had an excellant meal was a birthday celebration for 3 members of our party all enjoyed it. I have been before but not for Sunday lunch will definately be going again.

Food was very good. Unfortunately our starters didn't come out altogether. So very disappointed. People had to wait while others were eating. Then the plates were taken away while one of our party hadn't finished. Then we were asked if we wanted dessert while people were finishing their mains ! All in all very odd evening. The atmosphere was poor, the lighting is far too bright. Chairs uncomfortable. Not cosy Bistro feel at all. Not relaxing, all staff too young and not that attentive. While the food is great. Everything else needs looking at.
