Was looking forward to this however left unimpressed. Ordered porchetta Sunday lunch, one slice of meat no stuffing as stated, had half a roast potato, half a carrot, a plate full of green beans and red cabbage and some leek gratin with a Yorkshire pudding. Not veg you’d expect on a Sunday roast really. Overall lukewarm. Overheard another customer comment on the amount of green beans. Ordered lemon and blueberry cheesecake for dessert but when it came it was vanilla cheesecake with some squirty cream on the plate and a blueberry on the top. Expensive and wouldn’t mind paying if it was better. Also restaurant was chilly.

Had a lovely meal here before going to watch a play the food was lovely i had roast of the day and my mam had seabass the food was cooked perfect and nice friendly staff will defintley be going back to try something else on menu which has lots of nice things to choose from and good prices too

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and a meal at The Harbour Lights. The staff on a wet windy night were most welcoming, and nice and friendly so we had a nice meal/ drink and enjoyed our night.

I have been to Harbour Lights many many times because the food quality is great and service from staff is friendly and attentive. I recommend it to my friends, who also visit many times. BTW, the raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake is divine

Hadn't visited the Harbour Lights for a number of years and we were blown away by the service and delicious food. We reserved a window seat, the staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Food was beautiful, starters and mains, plenty of choice, we opted for the swordfish and steak, will definitely be going back.

Visit here at least once a month. Foodand drink is always fantastic. The staff are always helpful soon as you walk through the door. Definitely revisiting the Harbour Lights again.

Such a wonderful friendly team at the Harbour Lights! Always get a warm welcome along with a great selection of food on offer. The breakfasts are home cooked and well presented… great portion sizes too! A huge selection of Lunch time meals at well as specials on the menu. Using locally sourced food too. I now class the Harbour Lights as my local to go as I love the place, with its fantastic sea views, and the people too.

Lovely friendly pub, pleasant and attentive staff, very tasty home-cooked food whether it be a delicious Sunday roast or a mid-week treat. We love it and so do our two dogs who are made very welcome!

I've been with my partner for 9 years and we often eat out. In all that time the harbour lights is the only time when he's been asked if everything is OK with the food he said it's perfect. His usual response is it's OK or good if it's particularly tasty. The chips were a revelation, a mix between hand made chips and my mum's roast potatoes with extra dripping. The portions were generous, the service fantastic and the value for money incredible. Unfortunately we're not local but if we ever come to South Shields again this place is a must visit.

We went there on steak night on the back of good recommendation, we weren't disappointed the sirloin steak was lovely the service was warm and friendly and we will be definitely going back.well done harbour lights

Hadn’t been for a while and decided to go for our tea Ordered mince and dumpling and was not disappointed It was piping hot and tasty fantastic

This was my fifth visit to the Harbour Lights and once again I wasn't disappointed. I had the steak pie and my friend had the steak, two very satisfied customers! Thanks to the staff for great service. See you next month.
