Attended the Burns Night special meal. The meal itself was superb with excellent service from the staff. The evening started off with the haggis being piped in the traditional Scottish way. During the evening this happened twice. It was a great touch of authenticity. Great evening. Only managed two of the 3 courses.

Visited here for the first time for food and a drink and we must say we were very happy if not bursting at the seams! I had the Korean pork starter and then the chicken Parma with hot n spicy topping. The Pork starter was absolutely delicious as was my main course but it was impossible to eat everything on the plate and definitely no room for a dessert. My wife had the potato skins starter, cooked to perfection and crispy with soft middles, then the smoked Haddock which was absolutely gorgeous. Cannot complain whatsoever about the food and the girls serving were brilliant. Always checking on us and swift service. We’ve found a gem and will be back again.

Fab food and service perfect definitely be back

Visited last night. Both my wife and I had mussels to start. Spicy tomato sauce for me, Thai curry for my wife. Delicious! I ordered fish and chips. When it arrived, it was the best piece of cod that I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. It was delicious. So big that I couldn’t eat the chips. My wife had mince and dumplings, which she throughly enjoyed

Harbour Lights is back on top form. Food is gorgeous, perfect home cooked grub. Had roast beef dinner, but intended to have the mince and dumplings. Will return next week for that. Homemade chips are the best. Lovely staff. Log burner on and topped up, could've easily sat there rest of the day.

Location lovely, food excellent home cooked comfort food. Great for the blustery day we picked. Lovely staff and very homely atmosphere. We'll definitely return.

Very organised. Staff brilliant. Food lovely. Didn’t like pepper in mashed potato and turnip - far too much. Otherwise no complaints.

Very nice pub/restaurant overlooking the Tyne harbour. The food is lovely, freshly cooked and is good English fare. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The portions can be rather big, but they also cater for those with a smaller appetite. One little criticism, they tend to serve mushy peas, with just about everything, but don't be afraid to ask for an alternative. They're very accommodating. I recommend and will be back.

Totally enjoy The Harbour Lights, the Christmas Fare was lovely.

Had a meal at the harbour lights on Christmas eve, my wife had the fish and chips and thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately I had the gammon steak and it very very salty to the point I couldn't eat it, the manager was excellent about it and I didn't have to pay for it, other than that we had a very nice time, the staff are excellent and very friendly, we will be back

Breakfast was very nice and very good value for money service was good too.
