Wow what a great pub my first visit with friends for my birthday celebrations. Very welcoming staff cosy & great atmosphere. Excellent choice of food from menu & specials boards & variety drinks . We throughly enjoyed our meals The whole experience will definitely visit again in the future. Recommended by family friend.
The Master Builder – SouthamptonThis pub has served one of the best roast dinners in Southampton with accompanying live music at a very reasonable price for the last 25 that I have visited. It is always our first choice when going out for a roast. We have honestly never ever had a complaint with the food or service in those 25 years. This old school live music bar has a great atmosphere, great live acts regularly, lovely food and has always had very friendly helpful staff. Get yourself down there and support them. Lamb, Gammon, Pork and Beef, roast potatoes, parsnips, cauliflower cheese etc etc all we’re in abundance and beautifully cooked. Incredible value as well! Definitely going back! And the staff were efficient and polite. What more could you want.

Always have a decent range of beers/ales on tap and the frequent live music acts are a definite bonus. Thanks to the friendly staff, great service!

One had Gammon, one had homemade Lasagne and one had the Turkey and Gammon pie - Absolutely delicious! Excellent value for money. Thank you! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning next time we are in the area!
