Lotto1980

A group of 10 of us attend this for our darts night out, we had the food from the the set menu 3 courses for £14.95 with a bottle of wine included if 2 people were ordering from this set menu. The food was amazing and could not fault the service. Unfortunately 2 people from our group had a problem with there main meal, this was dealt with right away and also they did more then enough to compensate for this. I would highly recommend going to this place and look forward to going back

Excellent afternoon teas. Better than Betty's!

Frankly awful, service was slow, I was served full sugar cola when requested diet and had a rather sullen and annoyed response when I asked it to be changed. The baked potato I had was lukewarm at best, the pitiful salad I could have that wasn't covered in olive oil, was warmer than the potato. Waste of money.

Me and my partner recently went to Bistrot Verite for our anniversary and enjoyed a fantastic meal. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and were attentive to our needs. As this was a special occasion we wanted a special wine and the waiter was only too happy to help us choose. With regards to the food, there is an obvious French theme to the menu, the chef here has been able to bring classic French food into an English village, furthermore he has done it extremely well. My partner and I shared a Chateaubriand which was cooked to perfection. The desserts were also to die for, the crème brulee being my favourite. Overall I would rate this as high as any other restaurant in the area. The food, service and the general ambience was perfect for our anniversary and both my partner and I would recommend this to anyone. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

Had to provide some balance, looking at the reviews. Three years ago this restaurant was OK (used to be called "The Curzon"). Wife and I stopped going because the food became awful and frighteningly overpriced. Re-tried it a couple of months ago, in its "Salvatores" guise. Calamari was soggy. TBone was gristly/poor cut. Stroganoff was dry. Terribly overpriced. Ripped off. Never again.

My husband and I arrived at Bistrot Verite without a booking late one warm, Friday evening. Although the restaurant was full, we were offered a table outside and enjoyed the most wonderful dining experience. Service and food were excellent, and we were made very welcome. We are planning a return trip on our Anniversary later this month and this time we intend to book.

I had heard many good things about Bistrot Verite and they were all absolutely right. The atmosphere, service, staff and of course the most important part ,the food ,was absolutely delicious. I had "Creamy smoked haddock & spinach gratin which was to die for you. It was accompanied by the best new potatoes and vegetables I had eaten in a long time ,so much so I finished the lot and had no room for a dessert. Good excuse to return!!

I have had nothing but positive experiences when visiting the All New Ho Lee Chow. In fact, each experience just gets better and better. Friendly service, tailored to the needs of the clients, reasonable prices, tasty food and a business that remembers the customers. I have recently found that I have a wheat allergy - something that makes dining out a nightmare. However, there is no cause for concern when dining here. Not only will they make sure your dishes are wheat / gluten free, they have changed their recipes for items, for example tasty Prawn Crackers ( which, I swear, are better than the wheat versions ) and will happily make adjustments to the banquet menus, where possible, including the Early Bird menu. For example, when I last visited the restaurant, the group I was with decided to go for the Early Bird menu. I thought I would have to miss out on the platter course because of the contents. However, adjustments were made so that I could have just as many dishes as my companions ( ribs, chicken wings, pickled vegetables, prawn ball ). Their reason for changing the menu - "You don't want a change because you don't like something - it's because you physically can't have something". What a wonderful experience. Thank you Christine and the rest of the staff. I look forward to my next visit - which will be soon so get the wheat free soy sauce ready!

I use weatherspoons regularly because you usually offer a great service. On sunday 11th Ju ly in was visiting Liverpool for the first time . We went in weatherspoons to have a meal and watch the England match. Two of your staff on different occasion decide to stand in front of the tv stopping six different tables from watching the match. He was asked if he would move. He replied I work here i am on my break and i will stand where i want. He was told everyone behind him was having food and watching the tv. He said tuff. Most of the time he wasn't watching the match he was texting on his phone. We were all disgusted that the staff would behave in this manner. I would NOT RECOMMEND the liverpool weatherspoons.

I went to Salvatores a few weeks back now on a Saturday it is on the main street in southport town centre great location, I can honestly say I have never had better service and food. The Italian waiter was very hospitable and the kitchen seemed to have much experience in the food they were cooking. I had the Calamari to start and my husband had the Garlic and bacon mushrooms absolutely gorgeous, presentation also. For mains I had the rack of lamb and my husband had a penne pasta with salmon and king prawns he very much enjoyed this said the sauce was out of this world. We would very much recommend this to anyone it is a lovely place to eat. Definitely going back. See you soon
