This restaurant is AWFUL, THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. STAY AWAY. I went on a Saturday night with 6 other people. We decided on the all you could eat menu. The waiter was the rudest man on the planet. Even tho we were all paying £13 each for our meal, we were only allowed to order 4 starters for 6 people, even if there were 10 people you would only be allowed to order 4 starters on the first round of ordering. When we explained that we had one veggie and one person didn't like what the other 4 had ordered, we were told we had to share the 4 and he didn't see what the problem was and began huffing and puffing as if we were being unreasonable. He couldn't care less that the problem was that 2 people had to sit there with nothing to eat and wait for everyone else to finish (which took over an hour) before they could order what they wanted in the second round of ordering. It was pathetic and beyond belief. When they finally did bring a veggie starter, it was one battered mushroom and one tiny spring roll. I then got a tiny bowl of noodles for a main. Then they seem to bring the bill and clear the table before you can order anything else. I was basically given NOTHING to eat on a supposed all you can eat buffet deal and left starving. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

My (very new) husband and I decided that we wanted to do something small and intimate for our special day... just our closest friends and family, no big do with discos or children's entertainers. We looked at a few places to go for our quiet meal, and Rueters on Hoghton looked the nicest, and once we had sampled the food, we were sure that this was the place we wanted. The day was absolutely perfect, with owners that couldn't do enough to make the day as special as we wanted. The food was beyond amazing and the staff were fab, making sure that everyone had drinks and a good time. They even made extra effort with my 86yr old Nan who is unfortunately wheelchair bound and was unable to transfer to a regular chair, and our pesky 2 year old, making her a child's meal and making sure she was able to be seated with us at the head table!!I would recommend this restaurant to absolutely anyone and everyone, I know hubby and I will certainly be back for regular visits!!

This is, and has been, our favourite restaurant for many years. The food, and wines, are always excellent. The seafood, steaks, and special exotic meat dishes, are always prepared to a high standard, and don't you know this in the taste! Barry (the owner), his chefs, and the waiters, all combine to make the Forge Brasserie one restaurant you want to return to, again and again.

Having visited the Arion a few times in the last couple of years under previous owners and not being very impressed, I wasn't sure what to expect with the new owners. However, I am so glad I gave it another try!! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome. We went as a family for something to eat and were not disappointed. The food was lovely, fairly priced and best of all the children were made to feel welcome too! The manageress Jackie was lovely and went out of her way to talk to us and entertained the children with colouring pens and pictures. Have been back several times and would certainly recommend it!! Also the quiz night is great! Looking forward to the Christmas specials!!

Been a few times within the past year and noticed that the standard has slipped in the past month. Even to the extent of the food being cold when it eventually came

Had a meal in here on a quiet night, was not impressed with the level of service received, especially as it was quiet. Food ok, nothing special, which I was expecting.Bit disappointed as I had been recommend.

We have made this our local. It has never let us down for a good night out or just as somewhere to go for a good, and definitely value for money meal. The bar and restaurant staff are attentive but not intrusive. Always a good atmosphere, always good entertainment. The management have put together a good place to be and maintain it very well.

What a wonderful pub! We visited for my mothers 85th birthday, the food was fantastic and excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly and Jackie the manageress made a special fuss of my mother with it being her birthday. A good time was had by all, we will definitely visiting again soon. Thank You

We were in a traffic diversion which took me past this pub and decided to stop ~ thank goodness we did. The decor was tasteful, the place clean, and the meal was not only excellent quality but plentiful and realistically priced. Thank you Jackie for some good food and refreshment.

We have been eating at Le Boulevard for many years and cannot praise it too highly. From the lovely friendly (but not too familiar) staff to the excellent menu and well cooked and presented meals which are competitively priced and excellent portions.Looking forward to many more delicious lunches. Another surprising Indian restaurant has somehow eluded my radar until recently. I must be losing my edge! It is a fairly recent addition to the already prolific number of Indian restaurants in the Southport area. I have not dined inside, but upon collecting my takeaway from the Saahil establishment, I could not help but notice the ambient lighting and atmosphere which would be well suited to a relaxing evening out. My charming hostess Nikki (forgive me if I have spelt the name incorrectly) was more than happy to assist in choosing a dish to suit my taste at the time. It is clear that the food is prepared by people who care about (and enjoy) their own cuisine. I really loved the 'Lamb Chop Tandoori' starter I had, as it is infused with some mouthwatering spices which give it a very authentic taste. I do love my tandoori, and have never quite tasted anything like it. I shall be returning soon. Thoroughly recommended!

We have visited the pub a couple of times since the reopening and have been very impressed with the interior design, lay out of the food and drinks areas, the friendly service provided by all of the staff and the quality of the food served. On Sundays the traditional Sunday lunch is a particularly good choice and is very reasonably priced too. I am currently working my way through the pudding list, and can highly recommend the Sticky Toffee Pudding and Jam Roll. My daughter liked the fact that she could have custard with any of the puddings! In December we hope to return to check out the Christmas menu.

This really is a hidden little gem of an Indian restaurant / takeaway. I am an avid curry fan and am very particular about quality Indian food. This place has such a mouthwateringly diverse menu, I get hungry just thinking about it. Some curry houses have a very bland selection to choose from but The Indian Palace caters for every taste bud. Sweet, sour, mild to blindingly hot, the dishes here make this my number one choice for Indian food. The staff are very polite too. The only thing missing on the menu for me is a 'mansuri' dish or 'lamb chop tandoori.' I would love to see those added to this already tantalising menu, but I'm just greedy. Five star food, which I thoroughly recommend to any fan of Indian cuisine. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Simply superb!

I have had many Indian meals and The Kasturi is one of the finest restaurants in Southport. There is an authentic taste and some fantastic dishes. A takeaway delivery service would be nice but other than that, you can't go wrong. Pure quality!
