You cannot put a price on friendly honest service and I can honestly say the service here is second to none. The food was excellent. The mixed platter for two was very generous and the pizza's authentically light. They did fit us in without a booking but others later were turned away so I would book first.

I went to fuegos last night and lets just say i will NEVER go back again. After making my order, i was made to wait 40 minutes before the food, sorry dog food was served to me which i could have shat out onto a plate myself. Service was awful, they can take criticism and between them i don't think they even know where mexico is. From now on i will be sticking to Old El Paso food from the supermarket.

One of the very best. Excellent wines, Quality food. Limited space though. Think you should ring before so not to be disappointed. Fish stew sensational.

Ordered the most expensive steak on the specials menu, asked for it to be well done and it arrived in a suspiciously fast 5 minutes together with our other meals. Not surprisingly the steak was rare, so rare that it was almost mooing!! Pointed this out to the waitress who, without asking what we wanted or explaining what she was going to do, whisked the plate away. 5 minutes later the plate was returned with the same piece of partially eaten steak having been thrown back on the grill and cremated! When we told the waitress that we weren't happy with this she told us that it would take 20 minutes to cook a fresh one! We asked to speak to the manager and when he eventually appeared we voiced our complaint to him about the standard of food and waitressing. He immediately became angry and defensive, raised his voice and tried to accuse us of being rude, stating that it is normal practice in every restaurant to reheat food and again tried to deflect attention away from himself by accusing us, his customers of being rude for raising the complaint. He eventually walked away, calling over his shoulder with as little grace as he could muster that he would refund the cost of the steak! AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU APPRECIATE BADLY COOKED FOOD, UNHELPFUL STAFF AND LICENCEES WITH A CHIP ON THEIR SHOULDER.

We have eaten here several times, the staff are always attentive and the food is always superb. I would recommend it to anyone without having to worry that they might find the place having a bad night. I have eaten there both at, Christmas menu time, lunch time and in the evening and the quality is always the same, excellent!!!!!.

We have been going to this restaurant regularly over the years and have never been disappointed by the standard of the food or the service. The atmosphere is always brilliant and you are always guaranteed a very warm welcome (not always a table though if you don't book at the weekend). We have eaten in many Greek restaurants and are still waiting to find one in this country that can beat the Crete Taverna!

Wow!! This restaurant is amazing. The food is cooked so beautifully it`s well worth the money. I have been a few times and have loved it every time. The only disappointment at the moment is they have taken the duck off the menu for summer. Can`t wait for it to return in the winter! In the meantime I`ll have to console myself with the delicious Choc hazelnut brownie!! (make sure you leave room for that you will not be disappointed!)

I took my daughter for our evening meal there whilst on holiday in April 2008. This place is absolutely outstanding in every respect; cannot be faulted. The place oozes quality. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Service first class. Staff very pleasant and smartly turned out. Everything (including toilets) spotless. Lovely atmosphere. Very highly recommended; a must to visit.

I would not recommend the carvery at the weld blundell. It is always cold and each time I have been the 'chef' always makes every attempt to give you the minimum amount of meat possible. I went tonight 22.03.08 and the vegetables on offer were appalling. Apparently they were restocking and I can only presume they were using up old stock. The only thing I could recommend was the coffee. I like to give venues a few trys before I finally decide not to go again. Tonight I decided not to go again!

Horrendous.. Have visited this restaurant lots of times since it became a carvery and it has been superb but after visiting it today I will not be returning. When arrived today I was informed that it was now a 2 for 1 ,I should of known then to leave. After being told that there was lots of things on the menu that weren't available was ordered and were told that all meals were 2 for 1 which when the bill arrived wasn't the case. We received the wrong drinks then wrong meals then meals with things missing not explaining until we asked that these things were out of stock. Basically don't go there

This pub is no longer an O'Neills pub, its name has reverted to the Hoghton arms and is being run as family business, it has been refurbished to make it light and airy and offers good food from 12:00 until 18:00, with darts, pool, quiz nights, TV, and guest ales...and the staff are very friendly.

I found the service at lunchtime very poor, one hassled looking waiter serving between lunch & dinner periods. The food was decidedly average.

I was recommended this restaurant by a taxi driver. But was a little disappointed. The meal was quite bland, there was not much meat in it but it was smothered in sauce which I didn't like too much. Maybe it was an off night but I don't think I'll try it again.

This restaurant is not only one of the best in Southport but equally as good as any London restaurant I have been to. I've eaten in some top places in London:- Oxo Tower, Smiths of Smithfield, Fifteen and Mezzo, places where a meal for two with drinks will typically set you back about £150 upwards. I make no exaggeration when I say that Cloisters is one of the best I've been to in terms of the quality of food, the choice and the personal service. A superb good quality menu and a formal setting and service yet relaxed atmosphere. I had such a fantastic meal recently accompanied by my wife and two friends, when the bill arrived I was absolutely convinced we'd been under charged. The only one thing they could improve on would be to stay open later, maybe thats a cultural thing, in London people tend to go for dinner about Eight onwards whereas here it seems many people want to be all done by seven.

What is there to say about this place other than its absolutely my favourite restaurant in the UK, I live abroad and travel home 2 to 3 times a year and i always make at least one trip to the warehouse each stay, I have been going now for about 10 years and can honestly say that i have never had a bad meal. Mark the chef is amazing and all the staff are equally talented. I cannot wait until the new HOTEL opens this year. The food drink and whole ambience of the warehouse is well worth a trip.Hoping to get home Easter or Summer to have duck spring rolls or Tiger Prawns in chilli.. or maybe the thai inspired beef salad or to be honest whatever as the food is always exceptional
