Do not eat here, food awful as is the staff hardly surprising after you have met the manger who was rude and unhelpful.

i live in southport and have eaten in them all, warehouse braz and the vincent hotel and Augerge, and let me tell you that this is hands down the very very best restaurant probably in the whole southport and indeed Lancashire . The atmosphere is very intimate because its a small venue. but heavens above the food is dazzling. i mean really good, i would put it on par with le manoir aux quiat seasons. an example of this is the fish selection... and its not that expensive compared to the other top flight eateries.. a must try for foodies who dont want there wallet burned in the process

Had our wedding here last year venue& service absolutely first class would recommend it to anyone

i ate there today and can honestly say.....why haven't i been there before....lived around southport for years this is best italian by far,i have missed out will defo go back....excellent

Wonderful - delicious Lebanese cuisine, we've been enjoying George's food since 1994, freshly prepared every time we visit!

The owners here were so lovely and attentive, we had a really nice meal. The pizza was excellent and the wine very good! Recommended!

Mamma Mia is one of my favourite restaurants. Not once have i had a bad meal here and we eat here most weeks. The food is always good, excellent when Mario is in the kitchen. I love the service and the fact that it is the owners son who is waiting on. It really feels like an Italian family restaurant experience. The wine is excellent, especially the Cannonau (which is hard to come by in other restaurants). All in all Mamma Mia's is a wonderful experience and highly recommended. Mario's steak cannot be surpassed!

A very relaxed, lovely pub. Faciltiies for children are great. Food is always fantastic, can highly recommend the carvery laid out, so much choice! Staff are also very helpful, Highly recommended

Celebrated our engagement some 28 years when Mario and Rebecca first opened. Always high standard of food and wine. Excellent service even when busy. Very good value for money. One of a few in Southport to last, perhaps reflects how people and footballers feel about it.

I love these Tea Rooms and I've been going here for a couple of years now whenever I visit Southport. It's quite an old fashioned but quaint sort of place. It seems to be popular with many older people as I suppose because it's a nice quiet relaxed atmosphere. The service is good and the staff are friendly and efficient. The food is excellent, especially the home made soups which are the best I've ever tasted. It's very good value for money.

Beautiful Italian freshly cooked food - the only place I can find in Southport that serves spot on Italian food - with fresh ingredients in every dish, beautifully presented and with great care and attention to detail - and stunning salads - so fresh.

Service very fast,too fast,like they don't want you in there. Had some squid stuffed with prawns that was excellent, everything else was average.The beef with chili garlic,duck and pineapple and sweet and sour chicken all seemed to have same sauce and everything had lots of carrots.

Must be the best pub in the northwest.The food is fab and so are the staff

we have had lunch here quite a few times. The service is good, the food fast arriving and really tasty. They really seem to cater well for those of us that are taking lunch in a rush. I have tried many things on the menu and never been disappointed i don't know how they do it for the price.

We went in for lunch. We arrived early within 20 minutes the place was packed always the sign of a good restaurant! The food was fine I had the obligatory spaghetti bolognese (something i always do to gauge an Italian restaurant before returning for something more adventurous.) The atmosphere good I would definitely return if only because the place felt special. The only draw back was the hike to the loo upstairs!

Visited Wednesday night for my mothers birthday. Excellent service, excellent food and immaculate interior. The steak was the best I have ever tasted, one of our party asked for a pasta dish that wasn't on the menu which they made no questions asked and it was the best they had ever tasted, the lasagna came in an earthenware dish piping hot straight from the oven and again there was no complaints here it was outstanding. Will visit again when ever possible
