Belash – SouthportMy family & I visited Fuegos in Sept 09. The restaurant & staff are lovely & the place is very child friendly. We opted for the early bird menu, the food was fabulous & there was more than enough. We had three courses for 3 of us and a bottle of wine for around £36.00, easily worth the money. I would definitely pay a return visit
Fuegos – SouthportHad a lovely meal at Bistrot Verite on the 22nd September. The service was friendly with a good menu using local produce. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for the quality and size of the portions. Lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
Bistrot Verite – Southportmy husband and i visited the tearooms on 16/09/09,oh what a joy.soothing atmosphere, fab food and the pot of darjeeling was wonderful.so impressed I'm going back tomorrow with my mum, whom i know will love it
Westminster Tea Rooms – SouthportBeen going here with my family for nearly 3 years now & would not go anywhere else. The service is excellent and the food is fabulous & it is no wonder that it is always busy. They have also recently refurbished the restaurant and also added some new delicious meals to the menu. Highly recommended - Andrew & Julie.
Taj Mahal – SouthportFirst class restaurant - I had Mussells to start with and Lamb for my main course - absolutely gorgeous. I am not a wine drinker but there appears to be a pretty comprehensive wine list. Would recommend a visit - this is 20 yards from Birkdale Train station and there are several bars near by.
Bistrot Verite – SouthportI ate here recently and the food is very poor. It was very poor quality. For example the steak and ale pie was full of lumps of fat and gristle. The fish pie with 'king prawns', turned out to be a frozen prawn and potato pie with no trace of fish, or king prawns for that matter. The food is cheap, but even at those prices I would rather not bother. Not recommended
The Thatch and Thistle – SouthportI recommend it because the restaurant has a good feel to it. The chef is well known for his cooking and shows it at his own place. The restaurant is small and homely and has a great atmosphere, all the staff and kind and make the time there a little bit more memorable. So all in all, it has got to be one of or the best place to eat out in Southport.
Bistrot Verite – Southporthad an excellent meal in reuters. the service was top class our waitress Vicky was one of the best i have ever met so attentive yet not intrusive. atmosphere fantastic. also they had live music in the bar the Friday evening i was there. would recommend it to anybody.
Rueters – SouthportPizza Caprichiosa to die for, and such cheerful friendly staff.
Mamma Mia Pizzeria – SouthportBest fish and chips in southport
Mike’s Fish and Chip Shop – SouthportThis restaurant is now called 'Lings on Kings'. I have been to this restaurant a number of times over the last few years, and would recommend it to anyone. The food is excellent, and Ling will sing your favourite requests!
Lings on Kings – Southportwe have eaten at the Chez moi many times and have yet to experience a bad meal, highly recommended, the staff are very pleasant and helpful,Les/Lesley Bodrum/Gumbet
Chez Moi Brasserie – SouthportThis is a real hidden gem in Southport, being just down one of the sidestreets off Lord Street. The food is very high quality for the price and the service is very friendly. There is quite a range to choose from too, including roast dinners seven days a week. The gravy on the braised steak alone is worth the visit. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and the kids (and you) will love the sweet trolley.
Little Gourmet – SouthportMy favourite curry house in Southport and I've tried them all. Service is very polite and friendly. I dine there and get takeaway often, and the food is just lovely. In some Indian restaurants they use pretty much the same sauce for everything, but this is the real deal! I'd highly recommend it to anyone.
Taj Mahal – SouthportMy family and myself have been eating here for many years infact since the Kasturi opened. This is our favourite Indian restaurant. We do on occation try other restaurants, even if only to remind us just how good the Kasturi is. The Kasturi is also a very family and child friendly restaurant, children are always welcomed and they will even prepare and recommend dishes just for them, there is even a lollipop offered at the end of the meal for them. The staff at the Kasturi are very friendly, always polite, and helpful. The manager has even been advising us, over the past several years, on what strength of curry to give our son and has recently suggested that we increase its strength from the milder dishes to a more medium strength dish from the menu. And what can I say about the menu and the food that is presented to us. The menu is very varied, it has all the usual dishes you would expect to find as well as a few that are only available at the Kasturi. The food is always served hot, (no pun intended), and only fresh ingredients are used, my own personal favorites from the menu are:- Starter poppodoms - mixed kababs - chicken pakora - or chicken tikka. Main Chicken Tava or Karai Chicken Madras or Bengal I find that vindaloo is way to hot for me But more recently a nice chicken bhuna I don't always have rice with my meal as some of the dishes really don't need rice particularly the bhuna, but that's my choice. We can really say and mean! "The Kasturi is the best Indian restaurant in Southport" . We have never had a bad experience here yet. The Kasturi is always spot on, for both the quality of food and the quality service. Molly, Steve and Chris
Kasturi Indian Cuisine – SouthportBeen here twice now and both times the food was beautiful. First time with my Mrs and we had a 3 course Sunday special for just under £10 each. Fantastic value for money. The second time with all the family for my son's 14th birthday. We all chose from the A La Carte menu which was obviously more expensive, but we were all full up and everyone of us had clean plates. Very surprising considering we had 3 children with us!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone. A++
Volare – SouthportVery nice food! the staff very friendly! Prices affordable!
