Been here twice now and both times the food was beautiful. First time with my Mrs and we had a 3 course Sunday special for just under £10 each. Fantastic value for money. The second time with all the family for my son's 14th birthday. We all chose from the A La Carte menu which was obviously more expensive, but we were all full up and everyone of us had clean plates. Very surprising considering we had 3 children with us!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone. A++

Me and my family ate at Harpers a few weeks ago and the fish and chips were lovely just how they should be. The batter was crispy and light and the chips were to die for. Lovely service too the staff are always polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend this chippy.

I always order from the taj mahal as im very keen on eating the hottest and finest currys,ive been using there takeaway service for years.ive tried all the Indian take aways and they do not compare....so if your looking for a (HOT) curry at reasonable price i recommend this one!!

The Falstaff says it has a world famous menu and doesn't disappoint. Fantastic food and great value especially the real chips and cask mark real ale to wash it down with what could be better

Fantastic Italian food. Best steaks in town. Fillet a la Tony is a must, but make sure you have room! The ribs are something else with a fantastic sauce best I've had ever tasted. Along with Perfect Pizzas and Proper Pastas. The best local Italian Restaurant.

regularly frequent tonys, to me the best restaurant in town, no fuss, no hassle, just good honest traditional italian cuisine served to a top class standard. Great staff, great service, kid friendly, never get a bad meal, what more can you ask for. Try the garlic bread, and also the pepper sauce is top notch

I`ve been twice in quick succession and been pleasantly surprised on both occasions. Both service and food were very good We then went again on Grand National weekend - bad judgement on my part, but despite being full to the gunwhales the staff appeared unphased and shoehorned us in serving great food in a reasonable time. Full marks guys and well done to Baboo

One of Southports little jewels, beautiful food, great friendly service and very clean restaurant area. The only minus points given are not enough seating due to its popularity.

My husband and i went to Tony's we had garlic bread to start and had freshly made Margaretta pizza with great chips and a whopper of a place with a side salad and chips for our main course.could of had a choice of veg if i wanted.House wine was good but there is a wide selection of other wines from the menu.The steaks on next table looked good as well might try one next time.The restaurant is clean and tidy and a majority of the cooking is done by tony himself.

Had a lovely meal recently at this excellent Italian family run restaurant in the heart of Southport. Utilising genuine Italian recipes and produce (no smelly second rate Parmesan here - only the finest Grana padano freshly ground before serving on your fresh pasta) and coupled with an excellent choice of Italian wines which have obviously been painstakingly selected, Tony's offers the finest Italian cuisine in Southport in my opinion. The menu has a fine cross section of mains and some superb seafood specials. And their homemade Pannacotta is the perfect full stop to your evening. The owners Tony & Jane are welcoming and helpful & there is a friendly informal atmosphere throughout. A++!

I really enjoyed my lunch here. A gorgeous soup and a sarnie served with a smile and a chat.

We have been to Ho Lee Chows a lot since it was taken over and I can't say enough positive things about the restaurant. It is lovely inside and has a really welcoming, relaxed atmosphere - the staff are so friendly and the service is excellent. The food is gorgeous - I would definitely recommend having a banquet. It's such good value for money and the range of courses on the menu is great. Don't miss the cripsy duck, chicken satay, chilli and garlic beef and the prawn toast - in fact don't miss any of it it's so tasty. There's also a lot of choice for vegetarians which is great as some of our friends are vegetarians. Looking forward to going back!

Tony's is a lovely local italian restaurant where you're always guaranteed a warm welcome and fantastic food! I've never tasted better italian cuisine and that's after sampling all the other italian restaurants in Southport.... and you simply cannot beat their garlic bread! If you want somewhere that is reasonably priced with delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere then you simply cannot beat this restaurant!

We haven't been to Ho Lee Chow's for a long time, however we recently hard that it was under new management so decided to pay it a visit as it was my birthday. The restaurant has had a new face lift - the exterior had a new coat of paint and it looked very grand. This restaurant has been long established in Southport and still lives up to it's reputation of being a luxurious Chinese restaurant. All the staff were very friendly & welcoming. They all had smiles on their faces!! Our party of 10 was shown to our large round table, they had put complimentary birthday balloons on the table for me. When I made our booking for the table the lady did ask if it was a special occasion and I told her it was my birthday - not realising, they had made the effort of putting balloons up for me - I was delighted. There was something different about the place but I couldn't pin point it - then I noticed the chairs & the tables were different. I remember the white chairs, this place always had these hand painted white chairs as long as I've known - all this had changed. They now had red & black contemporary chairs, they were really comfortable and coordinated with the stylish tables. It was a busy Saturday night - I was glad I made the reservation. The new menu was great - it offered Banquets as well as a full comprehensive 'a la carte' menu. We found out if we had booked during the week days then we could have been offered the 'Early Bird' menu - which was I thought was a bargain & very good value for money. Nether the less Saturday was my birthday, we chose a banquet at the normal prices, which was the easier option for everyone. The food was fantastic - even without the special offers, it was still good value for money for the high quality. We've all heard the saying 'You pay for what you get' it's worth paying the a little extra for the quality and freshness. Crispy Duck with pancakes is one of my favourites and there was plenty to go around for the 10 of us all presented on our turn table 'lazy susan'. One negative thing I must say is each course of the banquet was too generous in portions - I was struggling to find space for the main course. I just had enough space to squeeze in some of the 'Sizzling Steak in Cantonese Sauce', which looked & tasted amazing!! After my grand feast - the restaurant music stopped and I had dreaded this moment - there was the sound of the big gong and then the birthday song went on - a smiley waitress brought out an ice cream with a candle for me, wishing me happy birthday. Not sure if one of my friends had put them up to it. OK - we've all been there done that - it's embarrassing - but I had a great time - I think the wine helped!! All my friends and I highly recommend Ho Lee Chow's, great food, great atmosphere, great staff - I had a good time. Sometimes people forget about this place as it's not in town - but I would definitely go more often and not just save it for special occasions!!
