Food was good but not a great vegetarian selection, only burgers. Service was practically non existent as we had to continually go to the bar despite so-called table service. Ok value for money.

The Kitchen – SpaldingWe had the Jubilee afternoon tea and, to be honest, felt it was a little lacking for the price of £35 for two. Two finger sandwiches each with a little salad, half a scotch egg each, a snack sausage roll and snack cheese scone each, half a serving of prawn something and a sour cream dip, plus a miniature trifle, a fruit scone and half a jubilee cupcake each - and this was £17.50 per person. The food was lovely, the staff and atmosphere was lovely, but I feel it was overpriced for what was received x
The Kitchen – SpaldingSmall fish with scampi lovely. Bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich the Belstone I have tasted.
The Kitchen – SpaldingBooked a table at The Kitchen for some work colleagues. The staff were polite and professional, the menu had plenty of choice and the food arrived in good time. Everyone commented how nice it was and we all enjoyed our meals. I've been before and will continue using The Kitchen when I'm at Springfield.
The Kitchen – SpaldingWent on 19th May for a pre booked afternoon tea. Have to say little dissaponted with the very limited selection of savories served only 2 tiny finger breads amount to a round of bread. Good selection of sweets and scone was lovely. Just shame as this was a birthday treat. If I was to i again lesson learned I would order a sandwich and scone separate. Would be cheaper then the 15.99 and more enjoyable..
The Kitchen – SpaldingWe booked a lunch time meal for 2. Service was very good lots of young staff polite and attentive. The food arrived quite quickly, good food grub not much else to say but very nice. Deserts were really delicious and well presented. Just wish they would change up the menu a little more.
The Kitchen – SpaldingTook mum for Sunday Roast and we both chose roast beef. It was delicious! There was so much beef and the fresh veg was lovely.
The Kitchen – SpaldingGreat food, super value Excellent staff
The Kitchen – SpaldingFood and service are both very good. Recommend the stew and the steak pie with mash.
The Kitchen – SpaldingWe pre-booked which I think is best as this is a very popular place. I’m not surprised either.
The Kitchen – SpaldingVery good service , lovely food . Good price would go again
The Kitchen – SpaldingGreat food, great atmosphere, friendly people. The sandwiches were so lovely will be back for a snack lunch more often.
The Kitchen – SpaldingIt’s a shame nice setting but the food is very expensive for what it is
The Kitchen – SpaldingOur party of 6 had a selection of starters, mains and desserts with drinks - both alcoholic and non. Our orders came out in good time, despite the restaurant being busy during Sunday lunch. We made the right decision of booking a table! Our servers were polite and on hand if anything was required. Our food was tasty, portions were generous and the food was hot. We would certainly go again. Thank you to the serving staff.
The Kitchen – SpaldingLovely Sunday lunch except that the roast potatoes on my vegan Sunday lunch were hard. My husband's potatoes on his pork lunch were nicely done.
The Kitchen – SpaldingWe usually eat at The Kitchen when staying at the adjacent hotel. We did so again yesterday for lunch. The Kitchen is a spacious restaurant with a varied menu consisting of favourites such as fish and chips, lasagne, burgers, salads, sandwiches etc. All the portions are generous and cooked well. My haddock and chips yesterday was excellent. We can't fault the food and the staff are friendly. The only feedback we would give is the staff don't mention the specials. Although these are written on a blackboard, this isn't visible to all tables. I only saw the specials board when I visited the toilets at the end of the meal. The specials on offer were significantly different from the menu and provided slightly more unusual choices. I would suggest either several special boards around the large restaurant or for staff to highlight the specials of the day when greeting customers. Overall though, a pleasant, clean, spacious venue with good, honest 'pub grub'.
The Kitchen – SpaldingService was fantastic Food was excellent Staff were attentive Was the perfect night for a trip out as large group for the first time since the pandemic Defiantly will be returning in the future
The Kitchen – SpaldingGood food, pleasant staff. Music to loud but on asking to turn down they duly did... would recommend
