Definitely one of the best balti houses I've been too!!! (and I've been some) The Guys there are always more than happy to help u choose the right meal for your taste. Definitely worth a visit.

Hong Sing restaurant is great!! The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. Drinks are good, but that doesn't matter when you think about food. Great friendly staff and I adore this all my life!! IT also great for special occasions and parties!

Love this place. It's a small family run Indian, with good quality food and a friendly greeting every time. We've become such fans, they even know us by name now, even though we only go once a month or so. Only thing I would say is be patient if you are a large group, as service can take a while, as the kitchen seems more design for parties of up to about 4-6.

My husband and I love this restaurant it is like a quite little jewel that nobody knows about. The food is fab Charlie and his staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. You never feel rushed you are able to sit and relax and enjoy the food, company & atmosphere. We enjoy it so much we have recommended it too friends and family. We are having my nieces sweet 16th birthday there tomorrow nightx

We have been to Cathay Dynasty more times than I can remember, and we will continue to return! Fabulous food, great prices and great for kids!! Really welcoming! Give it a try and .... Enjoy!!

First class food at exceptional prices we held my parents golden wedding here and everyone remarked on the quality of the food and the friendly atmosphere. Yes perhaps the decor is a bit dated but the menu is extensive and well prepared and cooked to order and at the prices they charge it is amazing they make any profit!!!

We adore hong sing, great chinese food, reasonably priced, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. We go often with our daughter who's first visit was at 3 weeks old and the staff are fantastic with her. Great for a family meal, catch up with friends and even a great place to celebrate special occasions. Our favourite chinese!!

i wouldnt recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy one word describes it DISGUSTING !!!!!!five of us went to eat there tonight Thursday 16th please dont waste your money .we were over charged at first by ten pounds ,then when i platter started the food looked like it had ben cremated.the chicken legs and wings were all a dark shade of burnt and were all stuck together.as for the main meal of scampi it was burnt.sorry but this restaurant is the pits.,and stupidly enough this is the second time we have ate there omg the food and service is badddddd.

closed for the summer, after another year of consistently good value food, September can't come quick enough. Well done to all the staff for a very good job.

I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that Mr Chan's is by far the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to - Charlie is absolutely lovely and is a terrific host and ,makes you feel very very welcome!! Great night out in a superb atmosphere. No hesitation in recommending it to anyone!!

We booked a table for 4 for the 29th March 09. When we arrived we were taken to our table. Our order was taken and our starters arrived quite quickly. We were given plenty of time to finish them with enough time before our main meal (very civilised). And then on to our desserts. All the food was excellent and the service superb and at a very reasonable price. All in all a nice relaxing afternoon. We will be returning soon.

My wife ,son and I dined at the Palace Balti on Saturday 21st .We live in Reading in Berkshire and we impressed by the reasonable prices of the food ,the quality and size of portions.The choice of food was good. Plus I thought the drinks prices were very fair.

I love the bottle and glass, it is my favourite pub in our area. Go there regularly and while it is busy at times we always have a really good meal. Atmosphere is lovely and staff are friendly ad helpful. Am going twice this week, one for lunch and for a family meal for my boyfriends birthday at the weekend and looking forward to it!

Cheap, totally tasteless, and disgusting!

Without doubt the finest Chinese restaurant in the north of England. Having worked in Manchester for the past five years I've certainly been able to sample quite a lot of different restaurants in China town. I can honestly say that Mr Chans in St. Helens is better than any of them. The food is simply fantastic and Charlie is a great host. I recommend the aromatic crispy lamb with fresh ginger or the duck in Cantonese sauce.
