Our family trip to A Tavola last Saturday lunch was superb. The atmosphere is warm, relaxing and friendly and the food is amazing and the staff couldn't have done more for us. Authentic Sicilian street food. Great for families. We made the trip to New Mills to see the new location of A Tavola, the new restaurant is lovely. They used to be our local restaurant and a favourite of our young son. The proprietor, Nicky always made a fuss of him and he really wanted to go to their new place. We were not disappointed and will be back soon.

We have ordered the take out food during the lockdown many times and always loved the home cooked traditional food but now we have experienced the restaurant, its an even bigger wow!. Perfect service in every way as staff are extremely attentive, friendly and knowledge of the menu so outstanding experience. The food is unlike menus tasted before and you can see it is authentic Sicilian due to incredible choices, names and recipes. The food is truly stunning and we including our 11 years old enjoyed every plate. Our son was kept busy with colouring in which he enjoyed and he drew a picture for the staff. Great atmosphere at 5.30pm was full on Saturday but the staff coped as the restaurant is run to perfection. Book early and you will not be disappointed. We love it and will be regulars for sure.

Our second visit and had an absolutely gorgeous meal, the staff are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food on offer. The atmosphere is great and you can almost imagine that you are in a restaurant in Sicily. Hope to visit again in the very near future.

Another great evening in this restaurant. Being sicilian it is great to be able to eat traditional, tasty food in a fantastic atmosphere. Excellent food, brilliant staff, am sure it will not be long before we are back again.

Wow, what a place! It is the second time I have visited and a first for my husband and they could not have been more welcoming and cheerful. The food was exceptional and the staff's knowledge of the menu is absolutely spot on. We cannot wait until our next visit and recommend anyone trying without hesitation as it is an absolute treat but take your appetite.

we have been a few times now and the food has always been great and there is a lovely buzzy atmosphere. the staff are always attentive as is the chef. The veal chop was particularly good this time I am told. However my son was slightly disappointed with his pistachio tiramisu which he felt was much heavier than he was expecting based on previous tiramisu he has eaten and was too rich for the end of the meal. other than small point it was as lovely as ever

I had recommended this restaurant to my sister and brother in law.. The service was awful the servers had no idea about wine or the menu. It was over half an hour before our first drinks arrived. The food was OK but service dreadful and to top it all they got the bill wrong. Such a shame as we like to support local businesses. We won't be back. Plus very limited vegetarian menu.

First visit this weekend lovely food really helpful friendly staff. Tables nicely spaced. I had the set menu all were nice and I felt good value for money the only negative was there wasn’t enough vegetables which the restaurant rectified

What a fabulous place this is Our fave place to go! Worked our way through most of the menu over the year and always spot on! Lovely cocktails , desserts and home made ice cream were amazing All the staff are so welcoming and your made to feel part of the family Can’t praise La Tavola enough!

Our second visit in the last three months. It is a fairly small restaurant which is always full. The atmosphere is great and there is an authentic feel, almost like being abroad. The staff are very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. On both occasions we really enjoyed our starters and the more unusual wines on offer. We didn’t think the mains were quite as good but we will still return next time we are here.

Just everything was perfect for our visit. A stonking bottle of wine and 3 super food courses. Staff 110% Will visit again for sure

Had a lovely meal with friends at A Tavola, New Mills on Saturday evening. The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. It felt cosy, the atmosphere was lovely and we felt very welcome. Can't wait to go back again. Simon
