First ever visit with 4 friends couple of weeks ago. Recommended by one of our party who had been to previous incarnation in Reddish (and New Mills). What a revelation.... Who knew there was a little bit of Sicily down the road from Swizzels... Lovely people, hugely varied authentic menu - and great specials. We had a range of dishes all of which were excellent and genuinely invoked places where we had visited and dined during travels past (once had wild boar ragu in Siena) Can't wait to go back with other friends (A Tavola, I mean - but Italy as well..).

I was so excited to finally get to try this place and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere staff and food were all so authentic, absolutely delicious dishes, I can’t wait to return. Thank you so much!

Perfect atmosphere, really genuinely friendly staff, authentic Sicilian home cooking at sensible prices as too all drinks of which there are many Sicilian favourites ....the transfer from Stockport to New Mills has proven to be a great success and long may it continue...forget elsewhere and do your upmost to be lucky enough to get a table you won't regret it!

My Sicilian husband and I visited the restaurant with family this weekend and couldn’t rate this place more highly! The staff, the food and the atmosphere are all authentic Sicilian and absolutely fantastic. They made a huge fuss of our two year old son which made our experience really relaxed. Thanks guys! And the complimentary lemon cello was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back

Amazing food & service as always!

An amazing experience; the service was efficient and friendly; the food was the best Sicilian food we have ever tasted (we had starters and mains, so tried 4 different dishes), our compliments to the Chef who took time out to find out if we enjoyed the food, a gesture we appreciated; the choice of food was vast and the explanation of each dish on the menu was extremely helpful. I cannot think of anything negative about this experience. Thank you all for making it so amazing!

Really gorgeous food and buzzing atmosphere. Fantastic service too. I was with friends, ideal for catching up with Prosecco. But also great for couples and families too. As soon as we left, my friend booked a table for her family in a few weeks! Would recommend to everyone. We’ll definitely be returning soon.

Excellent all round, and very authentic. We had Caponatu, Panelli, and Vitella/Viteddu con Salmariglio - excellent as were the Patate Rosmarino. The Affogatu and coffee top class, and the fennel liqeur (Finocchietti) worth sampling. This is the real thing, and the people match the food.

Another delicious meal last night. Perfectly executed as ever. Especially like the ever changing specials. See you again in a couple of weeks.

I went to A Tavola on a busy Saturday. The staff were extremely efficient and the food was excellent. A very enjoyable evening was had, will definitely be making another booking.

Myself and my wife were frequent visitors to the original restaurant in Reddish and this was our first visit to the new one in New Mills. We're both over the moon that they managed to establish a new restaurant following their troubles because, and this has added significance because my wife is a Sicilian herself, their food, their atmosphere and their service are as close to genuine Italian/Sicilian you can get in the UK. The food is always of the upmost genuine quality, the options available are second to none and the service is extremely welcoming and attentive. 100% worth every penny - probably worth more in all honesty. We're both so happy you have found your new home and despite the long drive to come and visit we will be back again and again.

Great atmosphere for a cold Tuesday in October. Lots of full tables and staff buzzing around. Service very polite and friendly. Food was excellent, a mixture of bruschettas and other bits to start. Over the 5 guests, 2 pasta dishes, 1 mixed grill, 1 Octopus dish and a veal chop. All excellent. Followed by 2 Affogato, 1 ice cream, 1 Tiramisu and a hilarious Brioche bun filled with 3 ice creams! Highly recommend A Tavola. Would definitely revisit. Well done
