We had a superb family meal here yesterday and really enjoyed the food, even managed three courses! Children's menu was very good value and proper Italian food too. We will be back.

Just perfect. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly service and exquisite, authentic food. High quality ingredients and great flavours (plus beautifully textured handmade pasta). Kept forgetting we were actually in New Mills, not Sicily.

Visited A Tavola recently for a wedding anniversary meal with my wife - what a wonderful evening! A lovely warm and genuine welcome and we were pleased to find a very exciting range of options on the menu with some very attractive Sicilian specialities. which was a very welcome departure from the staple pizza/pasta of the formula Italian restaurant. All the food was quite delightful, as was the reasonably-priced wine, with the fresh pasta being something very special. However we have to highlight the deserts, in particular the cannoli which we agreed was the best we have ever had, beating the superb cannoli we have tried on holiday in Rome, Florence and Naples! Like other reviewers, we can't wait to come back and try more on this menu and to enjoy the A Tavola welcome and atmosphere again. Feel very blessed to have a restaurant like this on our doorstep! Cannot praise highly enough!

Authentic Italian food is hard to come by in the UK, but this gem of a restaurant absolutely nails it! It felt like we were in Palermo. We’ll be back…

Came here for the first time on Saturday evening. The food is amazing. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Felt like being on holiday. Can’t wait to visit again.

First time dining here this week, what a new local gem. Beautiful food, excellent service. Already booked to go back as we want to try everything on the menu!

Lovely food ... especially the arancini and the tiramiso (to die for ) .... I do wish we'd been outside round the back though as we found it very noisy as the evening went on ....

Had a lovely meal here, looks like they’ve been in the new premises for a lot longer! Food was really good, lovely and fresh and amazing flavour. The staff are lovely, very welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately we had the last sitting at 2130pm so a lot of the specials were gone however there was still plenty to choose from. Will definitely return and go earlier so I can bag some of the specials!

I had heard good things about the restaurant and they were confirmed when I visited with my daughter, her husband and small children. We were all made very welcome and had a wonderful meal - the best Italian meal that I think I have ever eaten, either here or in Italy. We ate off the Specials menu, if only to stop us being completely spoilt for choice. The children's' menu was excellent and would be sufficient for quite old children. I am looking forward to returning.

Excellent meal with good friendly service which was efficient without being intrusive. Food was well cooked and very flavoursome with a lot of choice on the menu.

Went for the first time with my family for my birthday and we were very impressed. Great service from start to finish, food was delicious, decent portions and fantastic value!! The wine was delicious too! Can’t wait to return

Went to A Tavola last night with friends and have to say we were impressed! First off, the staff are really friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Secondly the decor is so authentic and traditional Italian, made you feel like you really were in Italy! Not a chain restaurant feel, but family run and so quaint! The food itself was lovely, I had the traditional rice ball to start, then crab & saffron pasta, and then brioche waffle with homemade ice cream! It was all delicious and came piping hot! Food and Drinks seems relatively fairly priced for what you get, however portion sizes can be on the small size depending on what you have. Also the menu is very extensive which can be overwhelming at times when you are trying to decide what to eat!! Other than that, no complaints at all, it was a lovely home cooked meal and the overall atmosphere of the place was fantastic! Will definitely be coming again!

Visited here on Saturday early evening and had an excellent meal, I had Canelloni and my partner had the lobster ravioli and both were very good. Bread and butter are brought to the table prior to the meal and it is the most delicious bread. The red wine was very nice and good value and the service was great. Would highly recommend for a small, authentic Italian restaurant with plenty of atmosphere and delicious food.

Enjoyed a lovely evening on 31st August 2021. Staff were brilliant and food lovely too. Will certainly be coming again. We have been many times before.
