Was wonderful food. Nice roast pork cooked perfectly. Was busy and managed to still get a good table. The burger was juicy and proper pub grub. Well reasonably priced for a Sunday Lunch.

Went there for lunch yesterday. The food was outstanding, best roast I've had. Everything was perfectly cooked. Danielle nd her staff are to be commended for their attentionto detail and helpful nature. Evn the drive up there was very nice, the scenery very impressive. Take a moment to pay them a visit. it may be some time before I get to go there again, as I live 200 miles away, but it was worth it.

Having used the shepherds occasionally over some fifty years I was very surprised and disappointed. The main problem was that I had viewed your online menu and almost decided what I was going to have to eat.on arriving and viewing your in house menu I was totally disappointed to find no gammon meals on the menu.I would suggest updating your online menus if I had known that I could have gone to the brink and got what I wanted instead I am not the kind of person to walk out and go elsewhere instead I made do with fish and chips that I could have got from chippy at half price.

My partner and I had a fantastic meal. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. We will definitely be returning.

The sharing board toast dinner is a choice of champions. Just amazing but be prepared to eat a lot. Lovely staff and stunning pub. We had the best time. Thank you

The past two times we have been the food has not been great had to be send back as chicken burger looked like it was cooked in old dirt oil and second one was much better and wasn't eaten gone down unfortunately and was our favourite place to eat out

Food was great as was the service, however when 3 dogs were barking very loudly at eachother it was a bit off putting.

Unfortunately the last couple of times haven’t been great at all. The food was Luke warm. This was our go to place for a beautiful Sunday lunch but sadly it seems too many bookings are being taken and the food has just lost quality.

Good pub with beautiful scenery around, plenty of outdoor seating. We visited on the Monday, we thought the food was good however waited a while for service to clear our tables or take our drink orders, understandable since it it was busy.

Amazing food and service, really attentive staff and a wonderful atmosphere, our Japanese guests were very impressed…expect to see more Japanese visits…great job folks

Good food, great atmosphere, good customer service. Went as a group of 4 of us and enjoyed a lovely meal each. Food came out served hot and tasty delicious. Great value for money
