Delicious pizzas and very attentive service. The green salad we had to accompany our pizzas was a generous mix of fresh leaves with a delicious dressing too. We’ll be back….

Perfect in every way and so reasonable

We had a lovely meal. All the food was fresh and tasty. The pub is in a lovely scenic position and we had a great view. Our dog was very welcomed and he enjoyed a sausage. We will be visiting again soon

Everything was absolutely amazing apart from the slow service and drinks that didn’t arrive. I just think that because they are so well liked they maybe weren’t prepared to be so busy. We do absolutely love it there and will be going again.

Food was outstanding. Absolutely delicious. Well worth the wait for home cooked perfection. Truly so much more than your average pub food. Will be returning for sure. Lovely views. Cannot wait to return to try something else off the menu and see if it is equally as delicious.

I was down visiting my elderly mum (93) in Bacup. I wanted to take her for a lunch in a country pub. The views at the Shepherds rest are stunning so we booked there. The food was wonderful. We had a huge fish & chips with glorious beer batter. Service was very quick. I had the alcohol free lager which was really nice. Mum wanted a dessert so we had a lovely cheesecake & icecream. It was a very relaxed atmosphere with gorgeous views and I would definitely recommend it. Mum told me she thought the price was reasonable & we were so full we couldn’t eat anything later.

Delicious pizza, scrumptious desserts and fabulous atmosphere. The service was excellent but not intrusive. It's one of my favourite places to dine. The background music is always spot on. Thank you!

Great Sunday lunch with friends from London and Southport. Good food enhanced by the wonderful views from the back room and, as ever, a genuinely warm welcome.
