Amazing food and service as always !! I was delighted to see that my all time fave Site pizza - spiced sweet potato with gorgonzola was on the specials menu after a long absence and Matt certainly did it proud 11/10 !! Special mention to the lovely Jess who has been a fab manager over the last few years - glad that we got to be there on her last wkd , and for her tasty cheesecake - she will be missed .

Visited at lunch time with 4 adults and 2 children. The food was excellent but let down by a lack of atmosphere and slow service. We were served by 4 different members of staff one of which was defensive and dismissive failing to create a friendly atmosphere. Food 5* but won’t be in a hurry to return.

An excellent evening - good quality food, cooked with attention to detail, friendly service. Oh and desserts to die for! We hope to return when we next visit Calderdale.

Saturday late afternoon. Four adults, a toddler and a small dog. Fantastic food and drink in a superb setting. The glorious weather was a bonus.

Went on Sunday and had the most amazing Sunday roast! The staff were all so lovely and accommodating! Definitely worth the hours drive there, will definitely be coming back!

I visited with friends today for a Sunday roast and a walk up Gaddings Dam afterwards (just over the road). Everything about the roast was perfection, we all really enjoyed it. The best cauliflower cheese I’ve ever had!! We came back for deserts after the walk, I had the homemade oreo cheesecake - I recommend you try it. Very friendly staff and great service. Thank you for a lovely meal!! We will be back soon :)

Excellent food and friendly service as always, in a cool, cosy setting with a lovely, surprisingly spacious, hidden garden outdoors in the back. Prices are reasonable and I genuinely can't fault anything about the place. It's a gem!

Great little place, great atmosphere, professional and pleasant staff and lovely food, would highly recommend, we will definitely be back.

This was our 5th or 6th time at Shepherds and it was as great as ever. It’s a lovely 45 minute walk from Tod so I feel I’ve earned the steak pie - possibly the best pie & gravy in the world. I always feel drowsy after eating so much and have to have a sticky toffee pudding to give me the energy to walk home!! Great food and great service from really lovely staff

Came on Sunday Amazing service, great food, affordable and so worth the drive and money. Can’t recommend highly enough one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had in a long time can’t wait till we come again!

What a find! Fantastic setting in the middle of nowhere, with the most amazing views. The service and the food were excellent - we will definitely come again and hopefully sit outside in the sunshine admiring those views.
