We booked for a belated Mother's day and Birthday meal on Good Friday. The team at the Shepherds Rest are great, they were really accommodating around us bringing a birthday cake and even offered to put up a couple of banners which I thought was really lovely. Food was great, the menu had changed since I was last there but there was a good choice and really well priced for the quality.
The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenWe had a fabulous meal on Good Friday. 7 of us booked for after our walk up to Studley Pike. It took so long for our meal to come (we had been warned that it would be a wait, but it was over twice the time). The waitress serving us was really apologeti, gave us a free round and kept us updated. If she hadn’t been so efficient and helpful, we may have left. The food was more than worth the wait. Cheese and onion pie was probably the best I’ve had, their chips are epic and along with the mushy peas I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. The others enjoyed the steak pie and gammon with egg. Deserts didn’t live up to the mains, too sweet and not great. We will definitely be back, I didn’t realise you can pre order which we will certainly do.

The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenSite is our favourite place to get together with family. The staff are always welcoming and clearly enjoy their role. Had the special pizza, chargrilled Hawaiian with chilli honey, it was delicious. Highly recommend a visit.
