Great food, great service, great location. What's not to like about this place. Definitely one of my new favourite places to visit.

Lovely pub with excellent views. Very cosy, and plenty of seating, inside and out. The food was absolutely first class, as was the service. Staff very attentive, but not overbearing. Background music was pleasantly varied. Good selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Treat yourself...you will love it. Harry

Lovely food, excellent location for walking around Gaddings Dam.

Excellent as always. Good value. Food a very high quality. Very impressed with the waitress, when we ordered a gluten free pizza base she pointed out there were breadcrumbs in the meatballs, good knowledge of ingredients in food. Great atmosphere for an early Friday night.

The service this was a let down. The starter came with the main meal. The food wasn't as good as the last time we visited. We had an incident with one ofour guest, I cannot fault them the Team Leader we're very helpful cannot fault that lady.

Great place to eat they just need more items on the menu

Had a Sunday roast there mid February with father inlaw. booking on-line was easy. we got there a little earlier than we booked was very busy but staff found us a table. And got us our drinks they apologies they were running a bit late only ten minutes it didn't bother us but for the inconvenience they discount the drinks off our bill. That was a nice gesture. I had interactions with four staff members and all of them very polite. The roast and pudding was lovely and I will be back as I live about 4 miles away to try there Yorkshire wrap that looked delicious.

First visit for us but won't be the last .the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was great..the view's are top notch too !

Love this place, the food is out of this world and the staff are lovely. Highly recommend the salt and pepper surf and turf it was amazing.

Nice friendly staff bit of a wait for food but good when it arrived fresh tasted lovely would go again no probs.

We went for Valentines Day and chose the Valentines menu! Well you would wouldn’t you! Starters were superb, mains were the same and dessert was absolutely lovely. Nice coffee and Guinness was great - as always! We had been to another pub for a birthday the night before. It was nice too but this menu was like being on Masterchef in the final!! Different league! Calamari and chicken thighs on Bombay potatoes, Lamb rump and Bouillabaisse. Passion fruit tart with pistachio crumb and ice cream to finish. It was lovely!

Shepherd’s Rest is our go-to place for special meals and it’s always great. Mshame there was only 1 beef & onion pie left, but the fish & chips was great so all is forgiven. Great food, lovely staff and beautiful views. Can’t wait for next time

The Sunday roast we had was perfect, good helping size, and tasty. The staff were helpful and friendly.

1st visit and we were so pleased with the service and the food. Will definitely make another visit
