The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeFantastic roast dinner in a beautiful building. Highly recommended.
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeThis was our third visit this year , the previous two visits had been underwhelming. But this visit was great, though still the same menu , the portions are now ample and the food was excellent. I had the salmon which was a good size portion with a fabulous pesto crust ,lovely potatoes and excellently cooked veg, others had the lamb kofta which was also plentiful and very tasty. The service was quick and the waiting staff excellent being amusing and polite. Didn’t have the kids with us this time but the garden is great. An easy walk from Tonbridge park via powder mills and the new estates woodlands. Puddings are overpriced.
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeThe food and service is always fantastic.. They always manage to find us a table, which is good as I'm always leaving it till the last minute to book, The kids love the play area which is fully visable from the outdoor seating area, so brilliant to take the kids to, The food is really good x
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeWe had a relaxed and extremely tasty breakfast as a birthday treat for a friend. The service was friendly and attentive which made all six of us feel very welcome. Definitely going again.
Hilden Manor Beefeater Restaurant and Pub – TonbridgeThe manager treats you all as though you were his personal friend. He knows all his customers and their likes and dislikes regarding food/drinks. So 3 cheers for Ray!
The Bell Inn – TonbridgeWhat a lovely pub always friendly chatty and welcoming couple who run the cardinals error. My brother visits maybe once/twice year...he dont like going to another pub as he said its such a nice environment to be in whilst having a drink. My father from germany visits xmas time and he feels the same.My son and his girlfriend both in 20s are always in there weekend times. This pub encourages all ages and has our thumbs up . If u havent been...try it!!
Cardinals Error – TonbridgeVisited for a Sunday lunch. It was a miserable, wet day and the restaurant was packed with families of varying sizes, with lots of (well-behaved) kids, Son no.1 had the home made steak burger, which came with a decent salad. Excellent and very herby. No 2 loaded on the carb, opting for the bread basket and enormous chips, the size of Jenga pieces. My belly of pork was succulent with a crisp crackling served with black pudding wrapped in mash. The other half went for the two meat roast and was demolished with a very decent Rioja. The boys were defeated by the enormous slabs of gooey chocholate brownie cake. Well worth a visit and am looking forward to paying a return visit when the weather improves and we can enjoy the large pretty garden.
The Harrow – Tonbridgelovely family pub. friendly welcome and never any trouble. Out of town, just enough not to get the rowdy louts. well recommended, great jukebox and they love the rock music., try it!!
The Royal Oak – Tonbridgeit has the best food around. the staff are really friendly and nice.the food has the best quality and the menu is suited for all ages
Hilden Manor Beefeater Restaurant and Pub – TonbridgeFriendly family pub with a top rate conservatory restaurant. Large well-maintained garden with a kids' climbing frame in the far corner and a petanq pit. A decent pint of Shepherd Neame's Spitfire, too
The Harrow – TonbridgeAte at this restaurant (Nice setting and recently refurbished) last Saturday. Lovely tender steak meal spoiled by overcooked mcdonalds style french fries. Venison pie spoiled by undercooked vegetables, Nice puddings. complained about quality of food. No allowance made on bill and 10% service charge added. we thought £106 for 2 course meal for 4 that was not enjoyed was also overpriced.
The Kentish Rifleman – TonbridgeFantastic pub. Great food and the Sunday roast is excellent. Really good value for money. I have eaten in over 100 pubs in Kent and this pub is in the top group of one
