Great Sunday roast recently. Lots of delicious vegetables, tasty pork and the potatoes were dreamy. I love that this place has a big sunny garden (with a play area) and seats out front too. Proper country pub. Bike and dog friendly. Be good to have cycle racks but they don't seem to mind you wheeling your bike into the back garden and sitting on the grass with it.

We had lunch here on Christmas Eve. Service was great, atmosphere warm and friendly. Food very tasty. Will book again.

Christmas Eve family dinner was excellent. In our own section of this lovely historic pub. A range of starters but the breaded Brie was delicious and plentiful. Mains from the ‘Sunday’ menu included tasty Pulled Pork burgers, BBQ Cumberland sausage and potatoes as well as roast pork loin and roast beef. Service was good and unobtrusive and headed by Darren who looked after us splendidly. A lovely evening in this delightful country pub. Thank you

One of our favourite pubs. Lovely atmosphere, log fire and great food. We often go on Sundays when it is obviously more crowded but nonetheless the service is excellent and we usually find a table, although booking is pretty essential. Always a welcome from the staff and Sunday lunches are fantastic. Recommend.

Excellent meal - the pastry round the pie was superb. Really nice atmosphere and very friendly.

I attended a Christmas party located in your barn with a group of friends. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The food was presented beautifully and equally tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. Followed by a disco with plenty of space to get up and have some fun. I would definitely recommend.

A beautiful pub, such a christmassy atmosphere. The Sunday roast was delicious. Service was fast considering it was quite busy. The only negative was we had to wait for our side dishes as they were forgotten and we found it hard to flag someone down as we were seated in the back area. Think it would be better to ask if we have everything we need before dissapearing. We will return though! Thank you!

Excellent evening. Could not fault a thing. Whole experience was wonderful. Staff very friendly & attentive.

We had a lovely meal - chose from the £15 menu and both enjoyed the mains we ordered (veg curry liver) and the puddings were delicious (panna cotta /apple strudel). We received just the right amout of attention and were able to relax and chat unhurried. Lovely chat with waitress Megan too.

Nice Xmas atmosphere and food hot and tasty. Unfortunately our table located in centre of room and had to be unseated and moved to accommodate dancing. This was 1 of 2 tables moved which was disruptive and spoilt our evening as we were shunted to the side of the room to chairs and only when requested were offered another positioned table

Good food, Most of use chose from the 2 course £15 menu. Good value. Really nice coffee! Good service, polite and cheerful.

First visit yesterday. Had asked for a suitably quiet table as my Mum is hard of hearing - it was perfect. I had the sweet potato in flatbread with yoghurt & a salad - delicious. We will be back!

I can’t say enough good things about the Plough. We consistently receive proper hospitality, and such gracious hosting. The food is generous and delicious, and the staff are great. We recently had my son’s 13th birthday meal here, and not only did they create an amazing special dessert for him, it was also on the house. Our favourite pub in the area by a country mile. This is how it should be done.
