Booked a table for a meal 4 weeks in advance (as this was for Boxing Day) and received confirmation. Also received a reminder of the booking 2 days beforehand which gave a lot of confidence. Turned up at the correct time only to find that the restaurant wasn’t open that day. Staff apologised but were somewhat offhand about it saying “well the pub over the road does food”. Have since found out from reading other reviews that this is not a one off occurrence. To add insult to injury I then received a request to write a review of my non existent dining experience. I realise that the responses I received are computer generated but it is surely not beyond the wit of man to modify the replies for periods that food is not served. I would suggest that anyone considering dining here ring up beforehand just to make sure.
