Lovely atmosphere and very well decorated inside and out. Not much choice for a vegetarian (only 2 options) the meal I chose was an incredibly spicy curry to the point I could not actually eat it. However the other people I were with thoroughly enjoyed their meals and we will definitely be returning

Staying at the Gazelle for 5 nights after lockdown, we booked a table in the restaurant for our first night, so glad we did, the food was absolutely delicious served fresh and hot with an excellent choice available. The staff and the views make the whole experience very enjoyable in these difficult times, we could not fault anything. In fact we enjoyed the first meal so much we booked the second evening also and we certainly didn’t regret it, once again both of our starters and mains were delicious. A special mention and thanks to the chef and the staff for making our evening so enjoyable. We highly recommend this restaurant

We have visited The Gazelle twice. Once for an evening meal and overnight stay just before Christmas and last weekend for a family lunchtime meal to celebrate 3 birthdays. On both occasions the food, service, atmosphere and surroundings were lovely. We enjoyed the view and thought the prices were very reasonable. Will return as everyone in our party enjoyed it.

We are at the Gazelle last Monday and had a nice meal - steak and ale pie in my case and risotto for my wife. Portions were generous and the good tasty. Aldwyn, the landlord, was very sociable and we had an interesting conversation about Anglesey relatives. Sadly there were just a few customers (bad weather was no doubt a factor) very unlike previous visits when it has been very busy.

Saturday night in the middle of storm Denis is not the best time to try a venue new to us. When other nearby restaurants were fully booked we were surprised to be the only ones dining here at 7.30 pm. However we enjoyed our meal and service was very friendly if slightly inexperienced. Shared a very tasty portion of spicy calamari as a starter but unfortunately were not provided with separate plates. Mains were a Steak & Ale pie for myself and an interesting chicken with black pudding crocquettes for my partner. Both were delicious and served hot on heated plates. House wine was a little disappointing though inexpensive. Would be happy to return if next in the area.

Lovely meal, as usual. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There’s car parking next to the restaurant. Great menu to choose from. Well worth a visit.

Although I think it is a little pricey for lunch, you only pay for quality! Food was absolutely beautiful, I had a roast beef dinner and the meat melted in my mouth. Atmosphere warm and staff very helpful and friendly. With lovely of the Menai Strait, you can't go wrong.

Lovely welcoming atmosphere, warm and cozy on a wet cold night. Staff are all lovely and a credit to the business. Food was perfect pub grub, well cooked and great portions. Amazing chips (my weakness) planning our return trip.

Although it was a quiet Friday evening in January we were made very welcome by the staff. Had both been a bit under the weather so appetites not the best, ordered an array of the appetizers..... what a good move! Would highly recommend ''menai mezes' beautifully presented even though not really a dish offered on the menu, good old fashioned customer service. Thank you

Booked a table here in January so Hotel and restaurant not that busy. Despite this there was a good atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had two small dogs who were also welcomed. We had three courses. The sea bass fillet was excellent as was the sticky toffee pudding with brandy snap top. Good selection of wines and well priced. Would recommend.

Booked table for 18.00, at 15.00 received phone call to inform me all cavery had run out, ok not problem and nice to have phone call. We arrived stood at door waiting to be shown to table before realising nobody was coming, went to bar and informed them, they could not find my booking, didn't know it was for 11 persons, eventually led to table that had not been cleaned, then waited in queue for nearly 20 mins just to order, food was ok, but customer service is no existent,

Been dining here on New Year’s Day for the last five years. We always come as a group booking. This year we reserved a table for 19 people. Upon our arrival we stood at the door for 5 minutes before deciding to search for someone who could point the way to our table. Once we were shown to our table we were informed that the carvery had ran out so we would have to choose alternative meals from the menu. Having ordered our food we then waited an hour for it to start coming out. Some of our group enjoyed the meal they chose but some got cold pasta with their bolognese, and one person who chose gammon said it was dry and like chewing a slipper. We decided to order some desserts only to be told that the ones we chose had run out and that the only dessert available was cheesecake. We then spoke to the manager but all we got was apologies and unacceptable excuses. We had booked this table 2 weeks in advance. I don’t know if the management at this restaurant has changed in recent months but it did not come close to the standards we have received in the past.

After reading the reviews on the food I booked a table in November for 28th December for 2 people and thought nothing more of it. We turned up on 28th December to be told that our table had not been reserved as the bookings were not coming through. We were eventually sat in the lounge area which was very run down and dirty with condiment caps on the floor, no serviettes etc. Had to put up with the waitress noisily polishing cutlery whilst we were seated. Food was edible but nothing special. Toilets were horrific, wet slippy floor and dirty.
