Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe had a great meal at Y Shear. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. We had the early bird menu that was good value for the quality of food.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogTelfords Bistro – Conwy
A complete disaster of an evening having taken 3 family members for a surprise meal.Table 9 booked but when we arrived was taken to table 78 in the dining room where two parties of around 15 people each where making so much noise it was impossible to have a conversation. Two children on the next table to us were sitting with their hands over their ears it was that bad. In the end we and the people on the other table went outside to eat. Not the best place to be at 7.30p.m. when the meal was served but better than having to put up with all that noise. Will not be visiting there again.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthExcellent food, atmosphere, service & value. Good enough to lure us back to North Wales very soon.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogA very nice meal in a very nice pub
Royal Oak – WrexhamWe haven’t visited for about 11 yrs, I saw that it was still owned by the same people. So celebrating a friend’s birthday, we booked our table for four. Well the food was even better than we remembered with great service. Glad we made the effort and will visit again if we come back to the area.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogHad a lovely meal with friends, not our first visit here. Chowder was amazing calamari lovely and my mussels were fabulous. The hunk of bread and butter was great. Service was great as we expected.
Telfords Bistro – ConwyOur second time at Y Sgwar, just as lovely as the first. Lovely staff and the food was delicious. We will be going back again . Thank you so much We had earlybird menu. Excellent food and excellent price
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogIf you find yourself in the Snowdon area then I would heartily recommend booking this restaurant. We won’t hesitate to book it again. We couldn’t fault anything about this meal, the atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff nor the value for money. The whisky sauce on my chicken was the highlight for me. We booked it as a treat after doing Snowdon and had to come straight from the mountain, as we were a little late coming down. We probably weren’t the best presented customers but you wouldn’t know it. My only regret is not being able to finish the pavlova, with white chocolate ice cream. It was delicious but my eyes were bigger than my belly. Every course was of an extremely high quality and perfectly presented. Definitely a top restaurant.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogFab meal - piping hot - really enjoyed it
Telfords Bistro – ConwySecond time here, just as good as first. Food and staff excellent. Had earlybird, couldn't fault it. We will be back . Thank you
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogThe food is excellent, fresh and well cooked, as is the wine choice. It was very busy for a Wednesday night, which created a lovely buzzy atmosphere, but the staff were very attentive with a very charming manner, and clearly enjoyed what they were doing. Definitely worth it.
Telfords Bistro – ConwyCame for lunch yesterday, were the only ones there apart from another couple. No atmosphere, meal was OK but chips were powdery. Drinks were luke warm, plates were cold. Had jam roll poly which took ages to come and was hard and dry. Tea was stewed and cold. Service was poor considering we were the only ones waiting . Won't be coming again. Sadly.
Holt Lodge Hotel – WrexhamFood is excellent and great service
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogEverything was fantastic lip smacking gorgeous
Telfords Bistro – ConwyMy wife and I ate her two nights in a row because of the food and service. We had small played and entrees were excellent. Nice wine list and very good values. Recommend to anyone and we shall return.
