Service and food excellent . Even though it’s often busy they still deliver . Friend was celiac - they have allergies etc covered . When the weather is good and you can sit by the river there is no better pub.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthWe visited your restaurant having never been before. Although we were not suitably dressed (hiking clothes and walking boots) we were greeted by your Bar Manager/. During our meal the owner also checked in on us and this was very natural and not superficial. The menu options were very good, I viewed the menu on line prior to booking however I wasn't sure how up to date it was because it said 'festive' in the description. Well we were not disappointed we had the butternut squash Wellington x2 it was presented very well and tasted as spectacular as it looked. Also we ordered the herb encrusted lamb rump... (it was a case of now you see it, now you don't '. It was devoured!. The drinks options were very good lots of lovely options. We didn't have any deserts because your restaurant was becoming busier and having run a restaurant previously we gave up our table. The desert menu was discussed back at our mountain hut, we talked about what we would have have chosen and drooled at the missed opportunity. If you're a vegetarian chose Y Sgwar. The only downside.... I wish that it were on my doorstep. We dined early so be aware that it may be noisy because families dine at that time. Remember we were all children at one time... Thank you for not being 'sniffy' because we didn't wear our finest. We will certainly choose you again when we are next in the area.

The Victoria Inn – BarmouthWow. 1st time I'm since refurbished. Staying in local campsite. Popped in for drink fri. Busy outside in sun. Plenty room in side. Pre book meal sat. Beautiful place. Great cider and beer etc. Menu has something for everyone. We chose normal pub food. Nothing special nice size and presented well .Service, staff brilliant. Highly recommend. We did see other customers with food that looked amazing. I recommend booking. Or pop inside if outside full.its a little sun trap . Well done to the team. See you soon x
The Bridge End Hotel – LlangollenThe meal was very nice, if slightly overpriced, the restaurant staff were very pleasant and professional. However the guy at the bar till who took our meal order and payment, and subsequent drinks order, was completely indifferent and non engaging. No offer of any receipts or any confirmation of the payments going through. Just turned and walked away on both occasions. Will not be returning.
