Every year we book at least 3 weeks in advance for our Sunday lunch, we come from Northampton to stay with family in Talsarnau, we arrive on the Saturday and without fail on the Sunday we are at the Vic, amazing food, incredible atmosphere, beautiful settings and the beer is always spot on! The meat is quality and cooked to perfection and a great choice of veggies. Top class food at very reasonable prices. We will definitely make a point of going again.

The Victoria Inn – BarmouthWow, what a find Y Sgwar is. We’ve been lucky enough to dine at some incredible restaurants around the world, and this one is right up there with the very best. Tucked away in a charming Welsh village, everything about the experience was exceptional — from the warm, attentive staff to the relaxed yet stylish ambience. The food, though, is the real star of the show: beautifully presented and absolutely superb in taste. It was also my wife’s birthday, and the team made it extra special — wishing her a happy birthday on arrival and surprising us with a delicious sharing plate of chocolate brownie and fruit. A special mention for the specials menu too — the mussels and rack of lamb were both outstanding. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.
