Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe had two meals at lunchtime. Both were without doubt the best pub food we have had for a long time. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pub looks great. We will be back to eat - and stay.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthVisiting family in Llandanwg. We had two meals in the Victoria Inn. The food was absolutely fabulous We had the roast lamb on Sunday and the beef bourgeon on Wednesday. The meat is quality and cooked to perfection and a great choice of veggies. Top class food at very reasonable prices. We will definitely make a point of going again.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthGreat food and wine with superb service.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe ate at Y Sgwar and the two meals were absolutely beautiful. I had the hake and my husband had chicken. The meals were beautifully presented and the best food that we have had in a long time. Service was excellent and will be returning. Thank you for a great evening.

The Victoria Inn – BarmouthLovely food, nice staff and excellent surroundings
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthWow, what a find Y Sgwar is. We’ve been lucky enough to dine at some incredible restaurants around the world, and this one is right up there with the very best. Tucked away in a charming Welsh village, everything about the experience was exceptional — from the warm, attentive staff to the relaxed yet stylish ambience. The food, though, is the real star of the show: beautifully presented and absolutely superb in taste. It was also my wife’s birthday, and the team made it extra special — wishing her a happy birthday on arrival and surprising us with a delicious sharing plate of chocolate brownie and fruit. A special mention for the specials menu too — the mussels and rack of lamb were both outstanding. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogEasy to book online with plenty of options. Many choices on the menu. Good atmosphere and great service from friendly staff. Would certainly recommend this testaurant.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogAbsolutely lovely meal. We had starters of the pate. Then we had chicken curry, which was gorgeous! Definitely coming back here.
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthWe visited this restaurant for the early bird menu yesterday evening. We were very impressed with the look of the restaurant and the staff were very attentive. The food looked too good to eat! Beautifully presented and both meals delicious. We both had Onion Soup, I then had Chicken Caesar Salad and my husband had Roast Lamb ( he assures me that the meat was very tender and tasty)
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogExcellent venue, visited on numerous occasions and never once been disappointed. Food served is excellent and complimented by excellent service. Highly recommended. Geoff Jardine
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWhilst the food was really good, what impressed me more than anything was the staff and how they all had a smile for you whilst also giving excellent service.
