Not what I had expected. Good basic "Pub Grub" in a jeans and jumper environment. Turned up well over dressed expecting a somewhat more salubrious surroundings having had it recommended by several acquaintances. Large portions and well priced but very poor wine list and not a good selection of ale. Friendly staff but not very experienced. Not a place we will visit again but wouldn't give it a bad review, just not what we are used to.

The warm welcome from the beautiful girl that showed us to our seats was complemented by her great service along with the rest of the staff and the food was also fantastic. Will definetly come back, most likely next Sunday if my daughter has her way.

We were met with a smile and cheerfully shown to a table. We were asked if the location was to our liking which it was. The service was equally friendly and the food was good and not expensive. All in all a very enjoyable evening.

Had afternoon tea here on Saturday 28th Sept. I would recommend it to anyone. The home made scotch eggs and mini sausage rolls were so tasty and moreish. There was a perfectly good balance of sweet and savoury. We had chocolate brownies and citrus pastry, and scones with puree instead of jam - which was a refreshing change. If I needed to criticise anything it would be the cheese and onion sandwiches and ham and mustard ones - I don't like onion and I don't like mustard. Next time I come here I would ask for other sandwiches. Great value for money and very attentive staff. Thank you for the experience.

Many thanks to you for an excellent meal in a well hidden gem. As a family reunion it was well received from all present and my sister staying in Llanberis was planning to revisit before her trip home to Brighton.

Stumbled across this place at the back of Conwy and what a good find. It’s decked out like a stylish gastropub inside with bar, restaurant and courtyard. I had the mussels (we’re in Conwy, after all) and the rest sandwiches but we were all very impressed with the food.

Can’t say I was overly impressed. Average food, chippy staff member, slow service. Nice to sit out though in the beer garden at the back and enjoy the fine weather and castle view. Maybe in the restaurant in the evening would be better?

Just spent a beautiful weekend here with dinner both nights in the restaurant looking out over the fabulous grounds. It’s between Conwy and Llandudno and what a pretty place Conwy is with its riverside setting and Edward I’s imposing castle. You can see Bodysgallen over the water from the top of the tower.

We enjoyed our meals at the gazelle, well presented and cooked, nice quiet area to sit, enjoying the views across the menai straits.

We always enjoy our meal there but on this occasion the carvery was only just warm. Other that we had a lovely time.

Place was hectic in a good way! full of families enjoying summer hols! food took a while to come, this is understandable, food great when it came, carvery was a bit of a let down though. queued for about half an hour as the person carving meat had to keep going off to get fresh veg & plates, no beef or pork when we got to be served, veg wasn't cooked enough either but roast potatoes, Yorkshire puds were amazing plus gravy :) loved the fact they had family games on hand to play whilst waiting! ordered pudding and the order hadn't gone through to kitchen so waited a good while for that too. Just think they needed more staff to be honest, but staff that were on did their best and were friendly :)

On Thursday 18th July we joined the Cookhouse to celebrate theee graduations and the staff couldn't do enough to accommodate us. There were misscommunications regarding the quiz but they organised another area to seat out party of 17 people. Thank you especially to the lady working on the bar and the othwr lady who waited on us all night (wish i caught their names as i feel they should be reqaeded for their wxcellent customer service). The food was lovely bare the odd chip being cold/hard. But overall a lovely meal at a good price. Thank you for making us feel welcome.
