Disgusting takeaway of congealed sweet & sour and horrid special fried rice. East was recommended which we won't be.

East – LlandudnoMy girlfriend and I ate here last night. We chose the Bistro which is cheaper per meal than the main restaurant but having enjoyed the food so much, I think we'll go back and try the restaurant as well. The food was excellent and there was a wide choice on offer. I had snails for the first time, which were delicious. We both chose seafood mains, my girlfriend having tiger prawns and I had mullet, both cooked very well. The portions were a good size but not too big that we couldn't eat desert as well. The atmosphere is smart but relaxed and the waiting staff were attentive without hassling. For three courses each plus drinks we paid less that £50, which was really good value for food that was way about the average in this area.
The Brasserie at Ye Olde Bulls Head Inn – AngleseyYou wouldn`t give this place a second look, but once you`re inside and past that shop front facade you soon realise how wrong that first impression was. The welcome, food and service are beyond reproach what a wonderful evening and quite by accident. This restaurant serves great Indian cuisine
Spice UK – WelshpoolOn a visit from Manchester to stay with friends I read the recommendation from the daily post ! We went for the early bird special and as a family of 3 adults and 2 children were disappointed! We were treated very differently for having the early bird menu ,for example no wipes for ribs , asked why we wanted extra plate for children , rudeness of female staff ! I had looked at the internet website and prices and times were different on different sections of the website ! The food was nothing special than a normal chinese takeaway !! extremely disappointed evening and expensive !! I am writing for a taechers magazine of reviews in the north west of wales and this one will not be great !!
Prosperity – RhylOne of life’s great pleasures is the fulfilling of one’s senses. Be it the feeling of the warm summer breeze on ones face, the smell of freshly cut grass or baked bread, the view over the bay as the tide ebbs it’s way toward high, or the sumptuous taste of beautifully prepared food, few people would deny that these are things that make memories. I have eaten at Moorings on a number of occasions and have always left with that feeling that I had just experienced something a little bit special. Whilst they may not offer the smell of freshly cut grass (not all the time anyway) one’s senses are awash with views, sounds, smells and tastes, all of which leave you satisfied. Needless to say, you should always book, as this restaurant is one that fills much of the time and believe me, if you find yourself in the area, you shouldn’t miss out.
Moorings Bistro – PorthmadogFrom Conwy go towards Trefriw and turn right at the Groes Inn towards Rowen and you come across the Dutch Pancake House on the right just before the village. A choice of 65 savory and sweet pancakes with a specials board. Open every day 11-5.30 except Monday (excl Bank Hols) and can highly recommend. Service first class on Saturday 28 Feb 09 when we visited. Licensed and afternoon tea served. Great place for the kids as they can feed the ducks on the ponds (magnet for fishermen) and see the reptile house.
Dutch Pancake House – Conwycrap food, awful service will not be visiting again
Norbar – BarmouthNice restaurant ,friendly service and the usual Indian menu.If you are staying in LLanberis and you fancy an Indian well i don't think you need to go further than this place
Spice of Llanberis – CaernarfonI go back to this Pub time and time again! Fabulous Food. Great service and a friendly atmosphere. There's a good selection of wines to. Wonderful!
Pant Yr Ochain – WrexhamTerrible, terrible, terrible! I had a £3.70 kebab from the kebab house instead, after having to return a takeaway for being awful - at least the kebab was hot and edible and what I ordered, more than what taste of india could offer for the £10 takeaway that they tried to charge me £20 for until I challenged them. What I got from them (taste of india) - completely the wrong order, inedible, cold and not a care from them! Don't bother - eat cardboard instead, at least you'll get what you expect!
Taste of India – AngleseyOn Conwy Marina with fabulous views over to Deganwy. Always excellent food and service. The homemade steak pie is wonderful, ribeye with stilton and mushroom sauce also good and always homemade soup on the menu. Never any room for pudding. The Sunday carvery 12-4 is also excellent with fresh vegetables and a choice of beef, pork and turkey (or all 3).
The Mulberry – ConwyThe first licenced pub in Wales, cozy with open fires and lots of brass. Food always to a high standard with a specials board of in season produce.
The Groes Inn – ConwyOlde world pub tucked away between Conwy and Llandudno with excellent restaurant (there is a rush Saturday lunch so get there early). Homemade steak pie is superb.
The Queens Head – ConwyFabulous views over to Conwy and the castle from Nikki Ips - like dining in a Chinese persons home - no mono sodium whatsit here - lovely barrel of special fried rice that we could have eaten all evening - simple, clean tasting Chinese food.
Nikki Ips Restaurant – ConwyVery elegantly cooked food served in elegant surroundings you can see why they so deservedly are consistently in the good food guide. I hope they will be there for a long time to come.
56 High Street Restaurant – MoldWhat a great find. We had a wonderful meal here on a busy Saturday evening. The restaurant is small and friendly with a great atmosphere. Although the restaurant was full the service was excellent. The food was glorious and the chef deserves a special mention. We all agreed that it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time and look forward to returning on our next visit to Anglesey in the summer when we will be able to take full advantage of the wonderful harbour views from this wonderful restaurant.
The Harbourfront Bistro – Holyheadi phoned last night to book a table for 16 people. was very disappointed that i couldn't book a surprise party on the 22 dec 08. the person i spoke to was very rude. mrs d taylor. 11 moelwyn avenue east kinmel bay LL185DE
