I have never had a bad meal from the George - every part the experience is good - can't fault the food, service, atmosphere and the value for the money

Great find. Food was great (we went for the South African specialties), service exemplary and boy does it look nicer than it used to.

What a fun night! We booked a table for 6 family members on Saturday night in the dining area of the pub and were warmly welcomed when we arrived. All service was prompt and friendly and the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was great too - the pub was busy but there was a nice buzz and we were never hurried or kept waiting. Can't wait to go back again soon!

Great food in a wonderful setting. the food is very tasty, good portion sizes and the menu is innovative and draws on their strengths. You dont feel rushed and the staff have a smile on their faces. You can't ask for more.

My friend and I had Sunday lunch at The Royal Oak and it was fabulous. Lovely friendly welcome, staff were great and the food was delicious. Highly highly recommended and will be back again soon!

We had a table for 8 on Sunday afternoon. Service was quick. Food was really good - all 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our various roast dinners. They were all hot and the meats were cooked to perfection.

Lunch here, was very good, service was excellent by the entire team, always checking if we needed anything, we sat outside and this was not an issue. Food was very good, good pricing, team constantly tried to up sell, to be expected, and one of the party gave in and had desert! Definitely recommend going and if you have a dog, order the doggos!

What a wonderful place and superb experience once again, right on our doorstep! The accommodating owners and staff are simply out of this world and on this special week of fun activities, delicious food stalls and excellent entertainment, it seemed like a festival all in one pub... absolutely loved it and had so much fun! Can't wait for the next time... cheers guys!!

Absolutely great roast. The family had the beef and the lamb, and both were superb cooked and were so tender. Service was great, we took 4 children and they were all welcomed. Highly recommended.

Very nice food and good atmosphere

It’s my favourite pub, what can I say? I always feel welcomed, the food is great, the service always friendly, the prices are reasonable, it’s a fantastic venue for a party, they make their own biltong and it’s amazing. What’s not to love?

Excellent Sunday Dinner, amazing service very well looked after. Lovely surroundings with nice music playing. So lovely to see so many dogs welcome and will definitely bring mine next time!!!
