Last night's dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. The restaurant not only surpassed our expectations but elevated our culinary journey. From the appetizers to the desserts, each dish was a masterpiece of flavors and presentation. The attention to detail in every aspect of the meal, coupled with impeccable service, made it a truly memorable evening. The chef's creativity shone through in unique combinations that delighted our taste buds. A perfect choice for a special evening with a loved one. We look forward to savoring more culinary delights on future visits.

When we arrived last Saturday lunchtime we were told, with apologies, that, unfortunately, the head chef had called in sick so there was a reduced menu. Sorry for the chef, but good news for the sous chef who took his/her opportunity to step up to the mark and shine. Sometimes a reduced menu can be a blessing. Both myself and my wife had no trouble finding something that appealed both from the menu and the wine list. The result was a splendid lunch, all three courses an absolute delight. The service was excellent throughout, the meals cooked and presented beautifully plus an excellent bottle of wine to boot. Such a pity there were not more customers to enhance the atmosphere. We'd booked for 1330 and had been delayed a little by traffic so maybe the late lunch was a factor but, even so, the venue deserved better for a Saturday before Christmas. Perhaps next time - because we will be back.

Goodfellows is one of our very favourite restaurants - we come for a treat once or twice a year and look forward to it immensely. This visit was, if anything, better than ever. The ambiance in the new venue is very welcoming - warm without being 'gushy' and professional without being clinical. The food is always delicious and inspiring: the tasting menu, with brilliantly chosen accompanying wines, is perfectly balanced. We are already thinking of booking our next visit.

Fantastic food and friendly staff. Would definitely return for a special occasion meal.

Visited on my wife’s birthday and although a bitterly cold night, we enjoyed a warm welcome and a delicious meal. Lovely family run business who made us feel really welcome. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent dinner at Goodfellows. We were a party of 4 and were particularly impressed that they were able to cope with 2 of the party having the tasting menu and 2 of us choosing from the standard menu. The service ensured that we were not left watching those on the tasting menu eat, it was very well managed. Every plate of food we had was delicious and beautifully presented. Portions are generous and, unlike a lot of other "fine dining" restaurants you do not leave feeling hungry. We felt that it represented value for money, although it is not cheap. It is a treat to eat there and should be savoured as such. We look forward to our next visit.

Went for Sunday lunch - food, drink and service was all excellent. Room was a bit on the cold side even though a heater was on. Would have been nice to have a set price for Sunday lunch for either 2 or 3 courses. Overall, really good and will be going back. Thank you
