Stayed in Wells for 2 nights and went here the first night as it was close to our hotel. It was so good we returned for the 2nd night

An excellent meal, in comfortable but stylish surroundings. We couldn’t fault it.

Lovely scallops, duck and cheesecake. Lots of space and good service. A great start to a new venue in Wells. I wish it well!

Thankfully this is my local restaurant, I totally recommend it. Food and service all good and beautifully presented. It's a new venture and deserves to be successful, do go!

It is a joy to have Adam, Martine and Renaud looking after us so beautifully again. We have missed them in their absence. Our dinner was as delicious as always, well up to standard, with some interesting new twists. We wish them every success in their new venture.

Adam and Martine have moved up to 7b , So glad they are continuing their amazing food and style in their beautiful new surroundings. They are such an asset to Wells. The only place to eat seafood as far as we are concerned!

Dinner @7B was first class. It’s moved upmarket from the old Goodfellows and got a bit more expensive, but it’s worth it. The team has pulled everything off really well (with the possible exception of the wine list which, while ok, hasn’t kept up with the new positioning). The food was outstanding, the general ambience manages to be both smarter and more comfortable than previously, and the service was flawless. 7B has moved to a new level and deserves to do well there.

Goodfellows at 7B is just as Fantastic as the last 18 years at Goodfellows Wells. The food is amazing, always innovative and Adams cooking and presentation is always done with such passion. We have eaten in a few Michelin starred restaurants and the food here is better. The surroundings and staff hospitality are as welcoming and wonderful as ever. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Adam. Thank you Adam Martine and Renaud.

Excellent! We were in Wells for our Anniversary weekend. We were recommended by our host at Beryl Country house to try the Olive Tree. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was good and the service was spot on. It made for a great evening out and it was also great value considering the top quality food.

We have been Goodfellows customers since Adam and Martine opened in Sadler Street - so we were excited to visit their new venue at 7B. The food as ever is delicious and beautifully presented and Martine and Reynaud make sure everything runs effortlessly. The whole experience is a delight.

Spent Saturday evening at the Olive tree. One arrival we were shown to our table. At first due to its location close to the chef station. I was a little disappointed, However how wrong was I. It is in fact is a great seating location . Both of us watched with great attention to the chefs work. Its the closest i have been to a chefs table. We both found it very interesting. Now the food all I can say is that its the best meal we have both had for some time. Staff were very young but very good at serving customs. The Olive Tree is well worth a visit

Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch, well cooked veg and very tasty gravy. Waiters/waitress were very polite and professional. It's great to have The Olive Tree as a venue for future Sunday lunches and can't wait to try the evening menu.

Good food at reasonable prices. Young waiting staff but unobtrusive and attentive.

First time at the Olive Tree. The food was well presented and very tasty, particularly the beef I had for Sunday lunch. All the staff were very attentive and we really enjoyed the experience. Will definitely be returning.

We had a very enjoyable evening meal on Friday night. Sat in the open kitchen area, it was nice to see the chefs at work. Service was good, we were advised that there might be a slight delay with food, but the wait was not too long. The food when it arrived was presented well and tasted very nice. We had three courses each. There was a good selection of each courses.

Food good and value for money. Service ok provided you ask to order your food rather than waiting to be asked. Problem with the restaurant is the space available, sitting in front of where the food is being cooked is not conducive to a good atmosphere (the reason I stopped going to this restaurant when it was Goodfellows). I suggest diners are made aware of where they will be placed when making a reservation. Upstairs could be a better option for the proprietors.

What a gem of a place, I know it's just opened but I've now been twice. Great food great service. New favourite place in Wells
