Great service from start to finish, the food was absolutely perfect and the staff were very pleasant, facilities were clean.

In these strange times Saffrons never disappoints - a lot of thought has gone in to making it Covid secure and it shows. Imaginative menu, well presented and service with a smile. Our destination of choice for an enjoyable and relaxing meal.

Six of us had dinner on Friday evening and we all agreed it was one of the best meals we’ve had for a considerable time. Very friendly and efficient service and excellent wine. Absolutely fabulous. Would highly recommend

Very disappointed with fish and chips ..fish was underdone and was left.. so worked out expensive for peas and chips! No one came to ask if our meal was ok and it wasn’t that busy

Such a lovely setting combined with great food and wonderful staff! We had our anniversary dinner and it was very special. Apologies for being the last ones to leave, had a chat with the waitress for a bit as we finished our drinks (superb Irish coffee!! btw!)

Very good service. Good potions. But chairs very uncomfortable and floors sticky . About time it was refurbished. Also they didn't take part in the government £10 offer what a pity

We had a fabulous meal as usual at Ostlers no 1 . Service was good and food was delicious. Covid measures were take with table positions and hand sanitizer.

Every course was delicious and just the right amount. All food was presented very well and the service was brilliant, can't fault it. Lovely cosy restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, will definitely be going back.

lovely pub lovely staff but unfortunately I cannot say the same about the food both steak under cooked and over cooked cold chips no sauces on what was supposed to be chilli coated chicken bites .burger had that much grease and fat running from it made all chips go soggy just overall disappointing meal

Great service and the two steaks and a bottle of wine were fantastic value and superb, the lasagne was great , but the chicken tikka masala which was my own meal was a disappointment, there was plenty of rice and chicken but next to no tikka which made the whole meal very dry.

Very nice meal, steak cooked well, chicken supreme was very tasty. Good atmosphere and friendly service. Honoured our voucher from pre COVID despite being 6 months over the date. Thoroughly recommended. Thank you we will be back

Such a warm and friendly welcome, great service and a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered Hake filet with a pea and sea vegetable risotto. The fish was cooked to perfection with crispy skin and the flesh just falling apart, succulent and fresh. However, the risotto was awful, it was so stodgy and overcooked it was inedible. The sea vegetables was a nice element but you need more of that and less risotto. A real shame as everything else was great, perhaps I was just unlucky and I am tempted to return to try it again as the owner was lovely and did apologise at the time.

First off why would some of the reviewers say 1st class etc and then rate it 3? Get rid of the sliding rule as people obviously ignore it. Totally distorts the average. This place is and always has been the best restaurant in town. During lockdown my family and myself had several sunday lunches and breakfasts all of which were superb. On Wednesday evening I went for a meal with my friend and the food, quality , price and service was fantastic (as always). I ate here at least 6 times a year and will certainly continue to do so.

The food was nice and service was fairly quick once we were at the table. Our one round of drinks almost got forgotten about though. I thought it was great that we could order through an app instead of having to go to the bar to avoid contact with other people. The atmosphere was very quiet and the pub itself felt very bland, as you walk in you have to wait to be seated but there was no staff member there so had to wait for a long time for anyone to notice us. Other than that an overall nice evening.
