As usual an excellent meal. Staff were helpful and the service was good despite the restaurant being very busy. The children enjoyed the expereince.

Good food, good service and good beer

We dine out at Oscars possibly 3/4 times a month when in York and have done so for many years .Introduced by our daughter. We cannot recommend it too highly .Quality of food never varies from excellent ,service is always of a high standard ,atmosphere is perfect and in keeping with historic York ,and we rate it as value for money .

Great night catching at oscars as always, food was so good and service was great, loved the gins, thanks again.

Excellent food and great service

When we arrived we were shown our table and was asked what drinks we’d like even before we’d got sat down. Asked for a few minutes to decide. We ordered our drink and food at the same time. Drink arrived quickly , food took half hour to turn up, then staff kept coming and asking us if we needed any more drinks. Which we did begin to get fed up with. But to be honest Oscars never fail to disappoint and we will return.

Food is nice but sadly no more dim sum served after 5

When we arrived we was seating into alittle alcove area of the restaurant that I would say would be the kids corner, I couldn’t get my knees straight and my FIL was also struggling to sit straight, but felt very squished, so I went back to the bar and they moved us very quickly, we sat at the bar and then the service was very quick for drinks and food., we was always always checked on up until we needed to pay we had staff walking passed loads and the table cleared but still no one asked us anything so we then pulled up a member of staff who brought the bill then we paid and left if it wasn’t being for the good service moving us we would of being uncomfortable throughout but we was happy all in the end food was delicious. And came very quick.

My friend and I had a lovely meal the food was great good portion size and the wait staff were excellent would recommend

Excellent service and excellent food again great night

Excellent food and great service. Our family came here for an evening meal to celebrate a graduation and the food was excellent. We all left happy. Tasty authentic Chinese food, would recommend to anyone. My personal favourite was the salted egg crispy king prawns!
