Booked in here for a team lunch, great menu selection to cater for everyone, fast service for the food and pre-ordered drinks on arrival as soon as we got there. Would recommend as a nice spot for lunch, the quality of the food was really good.
Oscars Wine Bar and Bistro – YorkWe ate here for the first time last night and we’re already planning our next visit. The food is outstanding, one of the best Chinese restaurants we’ve eaten at. The staff are also really lovely, nothing is too much trouble. It is a little more expensive than other places but well worth it. Highly recommend!

Oscars Wine Bar and Bistro – YorkBooked this for my birthday meal Called a week ahead, told the booking was fine, no follow up until I called a couple days before, told no booking was on the system on their end. Had to be booked in half an hour before the kitchen closed (which was not told to us until 10pm when we asked about dessert) the drinks took ages to come, the preorder was not received on their end even after I had sent it twice Honestly really disappointing service, I won’t be coming back however the food was great so that’s a plus.

Maxis – YorkBooked a table for 7 people at 6pm - we arrived and were quickly seated and drinks & food orders taken - by 7 we had only just started getting our meal and had to ask for more drinks as nobody came to check if we needed anything. I think for the most part the food was good apart from just a lack of presentation - very underwhelming side salad of just lettuce leaves - no dressing, no tomatoes/cucumber etc. Been a number of times and really enjoyed the experience but unfortunately this time was quite disappointing.

Maxis – YorkWe’ve been to Oscar’s many times over the years. We always get friendly service and enjoy the buzz of the place. It has an interesting layout allowing for tables with varying degrees of intimacy. The food is always well prepared and presented, good portions with a decent spread of a classic bar style dishes. Maxis – YorkVery disappointing service, but the food was excellent as usual once we got it ! table not ready when we got there , which was ok as busy. ordered 1st round of drinks 10 mins later took came to take our food order, not looked at menu so came back around 20-30 later , took our order for 2 drinks and meal . 1/2 later no drinks the waitress who took the order was on lunch! never wrote it down , 10mins later drinks arrived and we asked if our food had been ordered ?? NO it had not as not written down. complained again 4pm we got our food . ordered more drinks and guess what they forgot the order again - chased them out after 20mins - we left at 6pm . they covered the drinks bill so we where happy enough ;-)

Really happy we booked a table for 6, it was a busy Saturday and Oscars was bustling they were even having to turn people away. Children friendly restaurant. I would definitely consider Oscars every time when we are out with the children. Food is always a happy hit. Thankyou for being accommodating everytime you see us

Maxis – YorkGood food at a reasonable price, things appear to have changed though - no hot burners to keep the food warm longer, no hot towels after the meal, other than that still a very good restaurant to go for a chinese meal.
