The food at Panda Mami is beautiful. Everything is cooked nicely with a wide variety of options from Indian to Chinese. The only criticism I would make is there wasn't enough Pizza or garlic bread out at once so had to wait a while for anymore to be available. The selection of desserts are to die for and were actually the highlight of our visit. I find the environment friendly, welcoming and not invasive with other customers even though it's an all you can eat buffet restaurant. Unfortunately we were over charged at payment. One of our children was below the 140cm, of which I did mention, however we were still charged full price. Also there was an extra £3 added to our bill, and I still don't know where this was accumulated, unless there is a service charge here? I found the price for a family of 5 extremely high, and even more shocked that the drinks were no longer bottomless. Wish there was a fixed price for families because we would visit more often, however at the current prices we would only ever venture here maybe once a year, if that. Shame!

Exceptional, as always

A group of 10 us went for a birthday dinner last night and we took on the FREE BIRTHDAY MEAL offer. There were so many varieties it was unbelievable for the price paid - great value! Difficult to find one like this in the area and Panda Mami York is definitely the BEST we have ever been! Staff were amazing and very accommodating. Food was fresh and delicious. They also do gorgeous 2 for 1 cocktails before 7pm. The birthday person received a free cake with ice candle as part of the offer. We can't thank Panda Mami enough for the wonderful service and food. We had a great time and will surely return again!

AMAZING restaurant with GREAT choices, BEAUTIFUL food, GORGEROUS decors and FRIENDLY staff! A restaurant that suits ALL OCCASIONS! WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

This is the best ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT world buffet that we have ever been! Really nice food and excellent service from friendly staff! We celebrated my son's birthday here and everyone has enjoyed their dinner here. Make sure you visit in the evenings or weekends for the GRAND buffet so that live-cooking stations are open and chocolate fountain is on!

First time here really enjoyed it. Friendly and attentive staff clean surroundings and quick service. Will definitely visit again when in the area

Fantastic food & lots of choice. Food was lovely and hot when it came out and it was delicious. Service was perfect. They gave you enough time between courses and didn’t feel rushed but also we didn’t feel like we’d been forgotten. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The price is a little bit higher than some other restaurants but the quality supersedes this. Would definitely recommend and will be returning in the future. Thank you for making my Mother’s Day amazing

Booked in here for a team lunch, great menu selection to cater for everyone, fast service for the food and pre-ordered drinks on arrival as soon as we got there. Would recommend as a nice spot for lunch, the quality of the food was really good.

We ate here for the first time last night and we’re already planning our next visit. The food is outstanding, one of the best Chinese restaurants we’ve eaten at. The staff are also really lovely, nothing is too much trouble. It is a little more expensive than other places but well worth it. Highly recommend!

We got recommended thIs place by our hotel while staying in York , lovely place lovely food just the staff need to not be so quick with the service let people just relax after starters an so on felt a little rushed to be honest but definitely would visit again if we are in York again

I chose this restaurant due to the great menu choices and it didn't disappoint. The food was lovely, service was good and there was a nice atmosphere. We will be back!

Booked this for my birthday meal Called a week ahead, told the booking was fine, no follow up until I called a couple days before, told no booking was on the system on their end. Had to be booked in half an hour before the kitchen closed (which was not told to us until 10pm when we asked about dessert) the drinks took ages to come, the preorder was not received on their end even after I had sent it twice Honestly really disappointing service, I won’t be coming back however the food was great so that’s a plus.

Booked a table for 7 people at 6pm - we arrived and were quickly seated and drinks & food orders taken - by 7 we had only just started getting our meal and had to ask for more drinks as nobody came to check if we needed anything. I think for the most part the food was good apart from just a lack of presentation - very underwhelming side salad of just lettuce leaves - no dressing, no tomatoes/cucumber etc. Been a number of times and really enjoyed the experience but unfortunately this time was quite disappointing.
