Average food, strange chips - more like coated mash sticks. Nice atmosphere though. Would go back for beers and snacks.

The Victoria Inn – BarmouthA big disappointment. Nothing against the staff, who were helpful and polite, but we were greeted with a list of meals that weren't available, followed by another two that we did try and order. My meal was supposed to come with rice but arrived with flatbread instead because "we haven't got any rice". Final insult was the option to tip for this complete lack of full options. No wonder the place was empty at 8pm on a Saturday night.
The Old Courthouse – CaernarfonEverything was excellent! Thanks for a wonderful evening, looking forward to our next visit already.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogVery pleasant evening in this attractive restaurant which was nice and busy for. Wednesday night. Service was very attentive but food was a little slow coming out.
Telfords Bistro – ConwyOur second visit was as wonderful as the first (2 years ago). I have a number of food allergies, staff were knowledgeable about the food and ingredients and were able to offer suggestions of safe foods for me. First time in a long time I have been able to eat a three course meal. Food was delicious and the desserts were a real treat! Thanks again to all of the staff. Will definitely visit again next time we are in the area. 100% would recommend
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogAfter our disappointing Wednesday carvery last week, I am glad to say our meal was back up to standard this week and we enjoyed it very much. I can now highly recommend their Wednesday and Sunday carveries.
Holt Lodge Hotel – WrexhamMeal was absolutely brilliant, Plenty of food and very filling. Service great and very friendly . Would definitely visit again when we are back in the Area
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe visited here on the day of our engagement to celebrate. I'd emailed shortly before arriving to inform them of our engagement to see if they could do anything to help us celebrate (unbeknown to my fiancé) - They were so nice! They put us on a quieter table, and gave us a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival. The staff were so excited for us and so caring, making a lovely fuss of us for our whole meal, without being over the top. Such a nice atmosphere and truly caring staff. The food was also epic! The pork belly was the best I've ever had and we had the nicest experience you could wish for. It really was the perfect end to a perfect day. We'll be back when visiting the area again and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. What's more, the value for money is exceptional.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogAnother lovely family meal at the Victoria Inn over Easter! Food is always delicious, nice beer on tap, great service and kid and dog friendly. We love coming for a meal here on our holidays every year. See you in August!
The Victoria Inn – BarmouthWent to Y Sgwar for Sunday lunch on 21st April. A wonderful lunch as always. Great value for money. Great service. Pleasant atmosphere.
Y Sgwar – Porthmadog7 of us came in for Sunday lunch at 12. Warm welcome & seated promptly. Drinks and starters came out in no time, the mains (Sunday roasts) came out shortly after, all at once, nice and hot. Vegans in the group & special requests (extra yorkies) were accommodated. Everyone LOVED their food. None of us could fault it. As a side note - best vegan roast (with vegetable Wellington) we have found in a long time. Reasonably priced, especially if you go for 2 or 3 courses (1 course was enough for us!)
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogGreat food, brilliant service. Reasonably priced.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogFabulous food! Fresh produce! Great service! Great atmosphere!……..Now that’s what we call going out for a good meal! Well done team! 100%
Telfords Bistro – ConwyWe were recommended this restaurant on a recent cruise and we were not disappointed. Food was excellent and service was exceptional. Would love to go back if we are in the area again.
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogGreat food and a good variety of options to choose from. Excellent service. A second visit and did not disappoint, thank you
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWonderful meal in a brilliant restaurant. We’ve eaten here before (a few years ago) and the restaurant now seems to be under new ownership-and what a great difference they’ve made. The menu is varied the quality of food is outstanding and the service is brilliant-we definitely won’t be leaving it a few years til our next visit!
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogFood was excellent, lovely atmosphere and very pleasant and helpful staff. Will definitely be returning and recommending to others. Diolch
Y Sgwar – PorthmadogWe have been a few times over the last year and unfortunately do find the Restaurant very cold when we visit. The food is lovely no complaints. It is just spoilt by the fact that your food goes cold quickly on your plate and generally feeling uncomfortable with the cold experience.
