Eat here a lot and very rarely had a bad meal. The Sunday dinners are always the highlight. Plenty of meat, vegetables and also can have a side of cauliflower cheese.

We had a lovely meal here, the service was attentive and speedy and the food was delicious. We have recommended it to our friends :)

Excellent in every way

We travelled some miles to the Vine to meet friends and we were glad we made the journey. It was a quiet evening because of poor weather but the log fires and warmth of the welcome made for a cosy winter evening. The food was delicious and very generous and the service was excellent. We will definitely visit again.....this is a great pub!

Favourite venue for food, well cooked, never had a duff meal, only pub we go to now .

On a January Wednesday evening when we were initially the only diners, the manager Simon made us feel really welcome. He lit the log fire, which made the gorgeous old pub just perfect. We ordered glasses of Malbec, which was fabulous wine & went perfectly with the special of Partridge. The Partridge meal was delicious, a perfect winter dish. I had the special of cod, which while also delicious, but I think is a better dish for Spring or Summer. We had sticky toffee pudding, which was delicious & so light served with salted caramel ice cream. We also had Christmas pudding with custard....another good dish. Unfortunately the game pie wasn't available, so we shall be returning in hope of sampling that!

Always good food ale and fruit wines here, with good service and value. They all work hard to look after the customers. Despite a snowy night and the end of festivities we had a lovely meal with fresh food, the chef is consistently good.

Enjoyed our meal at Da Gino on NYE. Despite explaining that there some staff shortages, the service didn’t suffer during our meal! The meal itself was very good and we have never been disappointed anytime we have visited over the years!

I have been to your pub meany times, the food is great but felt like this time the pub seems a little tired and really didn’t like the photo copied, so could not be cleaned

Good food, excellent atmosphere and good service

Fantastic lunch with family, excellent food and service. This is our second visit in a matter of days, since the new management team have taken over. You are made to feel so welcome as soon as you walk in, creating a warm but sophisticated dinner party ambience. So pleased to have a high quality Italian restaurant in Streetly Village. Highly recommended !

We had a steak with prawn topper, steak was ordered as medium rare but it was more like medium to well done. Quality of steak was poor. Service was ok. Value for money was poor, bill came to £95 for two people, 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 soft drinks. We went to miller and Carter the week before, bill was £140 with starters, a bottle of wine, desserts and a cocktail. Steak quality was incomparable. Lesson learnt.

We booked a table for 22 people at the Red Lion for a Christmas meet up with friends. The food is always delicious and they are very accommodating for a large party. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very Christmassy. Thank you xx
